help id my first hunting trip

found these on the side of the road between bathurst and cowra in nsw. i wont be doing anything with them as they look like no pics i have seen before. i found out i should do some prints and other tests to help id them but they are too dry for that now and i am prepared for next time.
  2. hey guys, zetetic has let me use his account to ask a question i've had to move house recently and that ment pulling up a khat tree that i had only just planted about a month before. I've had it for 2 years now and grown it from cutting, it was just starting to pump out more shoots and was looking quite healthy, but when i planted it in the new garden it started to droop badly, the little shoots doubled over and the leaves are curling. last night my housemates told me that everything they planted in the ground where khat was had died. So i pulled it out of the ground (freeing up the roots and removing the dirt (not to much, just shaking off the loose stuff)) and potted it with fresh potting mix. today its drooping a bit more and im worried. im not much of a gardner and have never seen this happen to any of my other plants before, does anyone know how i might save her? thanks in advance %simon

    hanson-hitler-similarities

jews must be the most easily offended race of people in the history of the world... wwII was a long time ago why can't it be discussed and be compared with other things in a discussion without someone taking offence? what is the world coming to indeed... however that said i think the rise of capitalism (bush and his mates) is much more to worry about then the rise of racists, i think there are too many free thinking people around to bring in a racist government but too many people are blinded by money to even think that capitalists could be doing wrong...
  4. if you like the animatrix check out the comics at http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/ some of the comics were made into the animatrix, and there are stories there by some big name artists and writers such as neil gaimen and poppy z brite...

    mckenna's timeline.

i have been reading a bit about mayans and other anchient cultures recently and from what i gathered 2012 wasnt the end of the world it was the end of the first cycle out of five. it is like the renewing of the earth, everything that could possibly happen has happened and now it is like pressing the reset button and everything begins again.... thats what i got out of it anyway, so its something i look forward to not something i dread...

    sydney bookstores

can people recommend some good bookstores in sydney for books by timothy leary, robert anton wilson and other similiar topic books? dymocks in the city isnt too bad but i wouldnt mind finding a more specialised shop where the people working there knew the subject.

    aphex twin

yeah luke vibert goes under a few names, wagonchrist and plug being the most popular ones i beleive... the film clips are fantastic... however i have moved onto venetian snares as my fave idm musician, his tunage is a bit more insane then idm and a bit violent for some but it rocks and the filmclip for find candace is very disturbing ... he manages to pull off the insane beats followed by melodic ambient sounds no problem..

    wanted: syringes + needles

if you are in sydney or probably other capital cities find the places that give out free condoms to sex workers and free needles for junkies and get some free needles... they give them out to anyone and have a varirty of different sized needles when i was last at one... there is one in sydney called SWOP but i dont know where they have moved to.

    japanese cinema classics

i made sure i watched the japanese ring before the american one and i am glad.. i agree with mrbumpy when he says that it didnt spend stupid amounts of time in subplots and also the american one made much more friction in the personal relationship then the japanese one.. its like americans cant make a big movie unless it has sort of relationship struggle like a stupid soap opera.,.,. havent watched ringu 2 yet but there is also a ringu 0 which is a prequel made after number 2.. an anime i would recommend which is british i think? called Heavy Metal with some classic 70s heavy metal as the soundtrack..someone mentioned black sabbath on another thread, they are on the soundtrack and it is a great film with a number of short stories in it... also Fantastic Planet which is a french anime that is probably from the 70s aswell but i cant be sure, great film about two intelligent species living tgether on a planet and one of the species is very human, has ambient avant garde music for the soundtrack...

    aphex twin

what i saw said it was aphex twin vs luke vibert who is alos fantastic... i would love to see both those guys but yes the prices for BDO are quite expensive... however i cant really see him coming all this way just for the bdo... or am i just wishful thinking some other shows? best get checking his sites....
  14. never thought of it as a religion before but definately see the experience as spiritual or tribal or entrancing.... and its all about the effect of the constant beat creating a trance like effect... good mind altering substances always help create a different experience, i would credit any culture that has ever danced to the beat of a drum with having helped. in the psytrance community is the only place i have physically met others interested in ethnobotany.

    future of shamanism

i think that puts it perfectly...there seem to be a lot of people here with a very firm definition of a shaman that are not prepared to let go of that notion. i always considered shamanism and using hallucinogens a path to an open mind...

    japanese cinema classics

haha... this movie was very interesting, saw it at a movie night at a wharehouse in sydney.. and the name is on the tip of my tongue.. this is the one where he makes the wall of eyes nd the wall of noses etc.?Tetsuo was great also and the best japanese movie i have seen recently is Battle Royale which is from 2001 a bit of a futuristic reality tv running man type thing... number two is out in japan now.. i have heard that 'Organ' is worth seeing if you are into the tetsuo type of films but i havent been able to find it yet...
  17. i know it was mentioned in the movie 'american beauty' and then that conversation sampled in a few nice tracks.,..http://www.overgrow.com/edge/showthread/t-10448.html this link has a small discussion about it and typing it into google brings up much more info.

    future of shamanism

just because it is that way doesnt mean that the snobbery has to continue... sounds like a great idea to introduce people and give them the info that you think they need to know thereby doing your best to limit the ignorance and abuse...

    christianity and canibalism?

a lot of books i have read state that christianity flourished by taking parts of other religions and making it part of there own, for example xmas and easter holidays were originally the holidays of some other religions and the father, son, holy ghost were the triple goddess of a hellenist religion... these were done to tempt people away from those religions and into christianity perhaps the eating of christs flesh and blood was incorporated from another religion also?

    poor tommy chong

then how do you explain why the cop fined me for having a pair of scissors on the floor of my car? this was the same incident and they just wanted to fine me for something, why not the bong? they said that the small pair of scissors was a concealed weapon. this was around the time the new knife laws were introduced.he must of thought i was lazy and would pay a 500$ fine but instead i filled in the back and challenged it. i think the cop must of realised it was a stupid fine and wrote a letter to the court because the judge read some letter that had been submitted and cancelled it and i had to pay nothing. it was a pair of baby scissors.

    poor tommy chong

so are bongs and drug paraphernalia illegal in the states? i got pulled up and a cop saw a bong on the floor in the back of my car and he searched the car but could do nothing because bongs are not illegal... poor chong, he was a very funny character on that 70s show.,..

    my pedro

well its not a baggy it is a piece of the original cement pot that it was in, we had to smash it to get the cacti out nicely and that piece had something written on it worth keeping so thats what it is some good news it has just sprouted two pups at the base...

firstly i havent been here for some time and its great to see the community thriving... i gained a lot of my inital information from here it is a great place... i have now been caring for my pedro for two years but over that time i have been told that it is not a pedro but another kind of cacti and other people have told me that it is a rare kind of pedro... anyway i though it about time to ask the experts please look at the pictures and let me know what you think...
