  1. Shruman thats some mighty nice info you dug up there As far as the spores germing inside the animal... don't think thats right. In my experience to hot equals no growth. The temp inside an animal that digests cellulose would be rather warm I reckon. I accept the spores survive the ordeal and are built a prefab climate controlled home by mr moo moo but not internal germ. Unless there are other factors involved with the mysterious mushies that make this true...
  2. Believe me, when you have had this debate so many times before, IT IS A WASTE OF TIME! Its like a never ending game of tennis, the ball keeps getting bashed from one court to the next then back again and so on and so forth. You end up more confused than when you started. In the end it doesn't really matter that other ppl have different opinions on the subject, thats the right of any being with free will after all. As for me voicing my opinion, I hummed and harred whether to or not. Not sure why I did. Maybe its so you all know a lil bit more about who I am
  3. What on earth could make that person think that prickly is worth that??? As for the unusual growth, maybe if they grew up inside a dog kennel they'd have unusual growth as well. lol Gluck to him I say. Made a donation to ebay is all hehe
  4. I to am in the same situation with a variety of Tricho seedlings and was wondering the same thing. Anyone have some suggestions, personal preferences, advice...?
  5. Have a shroom and ask it, I'm sure it would answer

    stupid girl

I feel for you bro ! Gotta be strong! If she comes a crallin back, think with your head not with your heart. Chances are if they have cheated once they'll do it again and you'll be going through this all again. She may be feeling the grass is greener but thats still no excuse to cheat. If you care for someone you don't do the dirty on them. The right thing for her to do would of been to break up before hand if she is having mixed emmotions. Seeing as she cheated and your the one that broke it off i'd say she doesn't know what she wants, lil lost and confused. Steer clear, a women in that state is an emmotional rollercoaster that you don't want to riding on! Especially since your pretty emmotionally fucked up yourself thanks to her. Put as much distance between her and yourself as you can to give yourself time to heal. Any contact with her will just stir up the wound. Since you have known her for so long it'll prolly take a while, its not forever though, one day you'll prolly be close friends. Some times that is better than being lovers Take care bud, keep your mind entertained and off thoughts of her and what could of been. You've got a lonley road to walk for the next couple of months. You'll be stronger and wiser at the end though. I wish you well.
  7. A plum with hemrhoids hehe. What the botanical name? I got get me one of these
  8. Its not a Boletus erythropus. The pores are the wrong colour. On a Boletus erythropus the pores are dark red turning orangish with age. These pores a lemon yellow.
  9. Saffron Milk Cap. Made a couple of plates, see how they go... EDIT: Well I'll be F*cked, just looked up Lactarius deliciosus and they are the Saffron milk cap. Now thats a co-inkidink! They grow like mad around the pine forests here. Next rain I'll see if I can get some samples and some prints. Bleeding Milk Cap grows here as well apparently, even better eating than the Saffron I'm told. Nab some of those if I find me some as well Any one interested in prints ??
  10. Hahaha ! The old evolution vs creation / Science vs Religon debate. What a waste of time! Ppl believe what they want to beleive no matter what conflicting evidence is found. They see what they want to see from a perspective that supports their beliefs. No one wants to accept that their core beliefs are false and have to change their comfey and familiar perspective on life. Personally I agree with the thread title, evolution is bullshit. Life walks way to fine a line to of happened by chance. Life is such a delicate balance of intricate variety and variability all working together for one purpose, to continue. A higher intelligence is at work, the complexities that allow life to flurish are beyond comprehension. I agree natural selection is something that happens everyday of the week, its part of life. Not evolution by any means but adaptation to changing environments. Thats my opinion and belief. At any rate no one can prove beyond doubt either way so arguing for or against is a waste of time Another one of my opinions hehe. Take care all.
  11. Yeah thats a nasty compound right there. The extract would want to have some very tasty atributes to warrent playing with that crap! Thanx for the info Teo
  12. WOW, musta missses that thread Is incredible what they did with the oyster mushies and the contaminated soil! Who would of thought that was possible. Might have to take some grain jars down to the servo after work for a top up HEHEHE I feel another experiment coming on!
  13. Hehehe yeah, thats the scientist in me. Whatever it takes to prove/disprove a theory Its not that complicated or nasty really, just time consuming.
  14. I'm with ace on this one I think. I would think the mechanism for dispersal as regards animals would be external. Spores getting caught on the feet or face and dislodging later, where by chance their craped on and provided the conditions to grow. Do equine/bovine eat mushrooms or do they ignore them? I feel an experiment coming on. I got a buddy with a horse, maybe if I feed it some material with spore laiden feed and catch the poopie when it follows through then incubate it and see if anything grows. Wanna be pretty dedicated to carry the experiment out but this would answer the question I guess. One day when I have the time I'll give it a go.
  15. Ooooooohhh please! Champ ED!
  16. Heya, After some Peruvianus to add to my prickly collection. A 1 foot centre section to throw some pups would be perfecto! PM if you can help a fellow prickly lover

  18. This is the second time I've seen someone mention scelly was a fast grower. Everything I read said it was rather slow. Which one is it?
  19. Appeniculatus and Luridus are very very similar. The main differences being luridus has a club shaped stripe that is dark red at the base. The tubes and the flesh of the cap are seperated by a red line. Appeniculatus has a swollen stripe that comes to a rounded point at the base, lemon yellow to dirty ocher at the base. Both turn blue upon cutting. Looks like the main differences are the red line between the cap flesh and the tubes and also the colour of the base of the stripe. Based on this I would say its appeniculatus. There is no red line visible between the cap flesh and the tubes. Pitty we can't see the base of the stripe.
  20. There are a few Boletus that look similar but I think this one is Boletus Luridus, commonly called Lurid Bolete. Found in well lit mixed or deciduous forests on limestone soil in early summer through to autumn. Considered to be very good to eat, but may cause some intestinal upsets. EDIT: Forgot to mention the Lurid Bolete is not active.
  21. Very nice! Some lucky cyber shroomer is going to have a bumper crop Thanx for sharing your find WT
