    Courtii counter website survey

Hey bro, Great idea, not sure how accurate it will be if the data is only collected here as quite a few plants may have been distributed via the SAB Facebook site (many members of which do not even visit the forum here and think the two are one and the same). I think I would have a hard time even recollecting the ones I have grown and given to friends as well as ones grown from seed and distributed more broadly. JP may be a good place to start as he was distributing them for Communication back in X-Mas of 2015 going into the New Year of 2016. PS - I've never had any flower even the ones from 5 years ago..is there a trick to boosting/encouraging flowering (other than a beehive) ? cheers
  5. Journeys to the Edge of Consciousness - BRISBANE PREMIERE SCREENING Hosted by Australian Psychedelic Society-APS Take an animated trip into the depths of the human mind with three brave pioneers of the 1950’s/60’s #AldousHuxley, #TimothyLeary and #AlanWatts. Journeys To The Edge of Consciousness presents three psychedelic trips by these three world-famous authors that together changed them, and Western culture, forever. Combining stylish, minimalist animation with a rich, immersive soundscape, Journeys creates a unique cinematic spectacle, inviting you to relive the highs - and the lows - of the psychedelic experience from the edge of your seat. Sixty years later we put these historic trips into a modern context, sitting down with twelve leading current thinkers to ask: "What can expanded states of mind teach us about ourselves, the world and our place in it?” APS-Brisbane is pleased to be able to host this incredible film ! https://www.facebook.com/events/308892900458842/ Because fortunately, even with current Covid restrictions, we can host up to 50 people in a 200 person cinema. Tickets are therefore limited to ONLY 50, so get yours ASAP to avoid missing out. * Wednesday, 16th September 2020, from 18:00-21:00 New Farm Cinemas, 701 Brunswick Street, New Farm, QLD Hope we see you there! https://events.humanitix.com/journeys-to-the-edge-of-consciousness-brisbane-premiere-screening
  6. Hey SAB folks, Does anyone here fancy moderating a Facebook group with me? - I inherited it a few years ago from someone who has now pulled out and left me as the only Admin/Mod (just added 1 other person as Moderator). It has potential to be a good community resource, but with all the Fb fuckery at the moment (loads of dodgy vendors trying to peddle their wares, scam others or quite possibly these are entrapment ruses). As I have other pages that are a priority for my attention and time - I have pretty much been ignoring this group (there are 100s of members waiting approval), so could really use the help catching up and keeping an eye on it going forward. Experience as an admin or moderator in other Fb groups/online forums would be the main pre-requisite - as well as a good knowledge of Australian ethnobotany and/or psychoactive plants in general. The page is primarily about the identification of Australian Psychoactive plants such as native Acacia and Psilocybe species (as well as any other ethnobotanical species that grow here) and general discussion of their properties, experiential effects and cultural significance'. Message me here if you are keen and/or want to ask questions, cheers, Flux
  7. Yeh, patience and diplomacy are definitely key attributes...I'm usually pretty calm and considered in my responses having moderated about 6 or more Fb pages/groups and a global forum...but there seems to be an increasing element of laziness at the moment with people expecting knowledge and answers (or substances) to be handed to them on a plate by asking randoms on Facebook without even using Google as a first point of call. Just look at all the DMT pages that exist now, where only 5 years ago The Nexus was really it - and it still remains one of the most comprehensive sources of information on the subject with decades of personal research, assays, investigations, experiments, etc recorded and aggregated there. Kids these days lol .
  8. Always keen on rooted cacti or cuttings - would wanna see some pics though, cheers

    Acacia seeds!

Got a bunch of Acuminata seeds if you're after some - easy to grown and a reliable plant....but also a Western Australian desert tree, so probably not too frost hardy A. Obtusifolia is probably the most frost hardy acacia as it grows in the mountains of NSW where it often snows over winter frost ...

    Dr Bruce Damer in Sydney

Bumping - coz, last chance to get tickets !!! There are a few unicorns running around who’ve figured out a way to re-appropriate the dusty old construct of academia to their own terms. Both Dennis McKenna and Bruce Damer were brilliant enough, brave enough and tenacious enough to do it. If you’re familiar with them you already know, if not, you’ll hear exactly what I’m referring to in this chat. Dennis McKenna is an ethnopharmacologist, researcher lecturer and author. He has spent decades doing deep academic and personal research on consciousness and psychedelics. Dennis is also the author of Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss, a memoire chronicling his adventures with his brother, the late Terence McKenna. In addition to being part of the same circle as Dennis and Terence McKenna, Dr. Bruce Damer, is a researcher at UC Santa Cruz focusing on origin of life theory. Bruce has also worked on projects for NASA in which he developed asteroid-capturing spacecraft.

Yeh- that Salon episode is a great one (I think Bruce has done a few there). Did you here the 2-Part talk he did with James Jesso - I love when he gets into the Eluesinian Mysteries and shares his knowledge of these rites https://www.jameswjesso.com/psychedelic-origins-life-w-bruce-damer-ep-49/
  19. Hi Levi, Great to hear you doing well and that it wasn't such a hellish struggle after all ! Good move to keep reducing rather than going on subs - the withdrawals are lesser- but last a hell of a lot longer (so essentially are the same just drawn out). Regarding cravings though, its a good idea to find a new activity - study, creative pursuits, gardening - anything productive to fill that need for dopamine in your brain and purpose/satisfaction in your life that the drugs once filled. Check out the Thomas Recipe for supplements and the like that will make the whole process and general heath a lot better: https://www.therecoveryvillage.com/opiate-addiction/related-topics/the-thomas-recipe/#gref cheers, Flux
