Hey guys an gals I know it's a long shot, but just thought I'd ask if any of the lovely members here have any left overs of Nitrogens super awesome hybrid seeds? Will delve into the darkest reaches of my seed box (or bank account) in return for any help. Or alternatively, I have a few prints of cubes and some Aussie woodlovers (gyms n subs) - if your into microscopy that is - I'd be more than happy to part with to get my hands on a few of these seeds. Figure its a bit of a stab in the dark, but hey who knows, I might just be pleasantly surprised. Anyway, if ya dont ask then ya dont get so I guess its worth a shot. Thanks folks

Thanks Halcyon but............Im in West Aus. No chance of getting plants sent from overseas without bringing unwanted attention on myself. And besides, I'm a bit of a sucker for seed growing

The Currency Revolution - With Bitcoin
Cubism replied to qwertyuiop's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
As someone who knows nothing about bitcoins, and doesn't have any money to invest anyway I got a question. If I bought a few off Mt Gox, and they folded or whatever, and disappeared, would I still have my bitcoins? Or are they explicitly linked to Mt Gox, and would disappear too? -

I haven't got anything constructive to offer but just wanted to say I'm really enjoying following this thread. Lots of interesting opinions and information. It's the sort of thing I've often dreamed of doing but I just aint ballsy enough (up until now atleast, never know in the future) to take that step from fantasy to making it a reality. Different personalities an all that, but from my perspective it must take a lot of courage an balls the size of an elephants!!! I hope you find what your looking for in life mate. Will definately be continuing to follow this as your story unfolds, and am really looking forward to hearing of your adventures/misadventures along the way. And.....from a purely selfish point of view, I'm looking forward to soaking up a bit of inspiration from your endeavours. Whatever you decide on, and wherever you end up, go well buddy. All the best man. -
Bummer. 10 out of 10 for effort though mate.

Pereskiopsis Give Away & Introduction
Cubism replied to Eternal Frisson's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
Anyone ever receive their peres from this thread? Don't need it now, but sent some seeds first in a gesture of good will, and haven't heard a word back since????? -
There's a big patch of Star Jasmine in one of my local parks I've been keeping an eye on but it doesn't seem to be producing seed pods. Then yesterday, I noticed one of the residents in my street has one growing over her fence which is producing some pods. So with permission, I've collected 5 or 6 pods which have fallen to the ground so far with more yet to fully dry out. If anyone's keen, I have a couple of bags of seed (taken out of pods) for anyone in Australia to have,(short on stamps an cash so sorry if your oversees) possibly some more in the next few days/weeks. Anyway, no trade needed or wanted, they're yours for free if you want them. No idea how viable they are but they're fresh!

Thanks Foo. Pretty happy myself. Didn't know anything about it until browsing old threads here. So thanks SAB too!

Hey Matt From what reading I have done, alot of plants don't. But some plants definately do. They produce a long skinny pod, kinda like green beans, and the seeds are like a very small brown twig with a larger feathery attachment. The huge patch in my local park does not seem to produce any pods, yet maybe 500 m down the road, my neighbours plants most certainly are producing pods right now. There's plenty of info out there about them.

Jealous! Looking forward to the rest of your garden unfolding. Great job man.
