    Food of the Gods PDF

quote:But for some people I guess it will only be try. Which is about as damaging as glancing through it at the bookshop. It seems to be the trend of copyrighted materials today, whether it is illegal or not, people download a free copy and if they feel they really like it they buy a legit version. Not all people follow this trend though, and the trend may change when pirated material is the same quality as the original and is readily accessible. However, I think if this trend is not supported and publishers attempt to become more controlling more people will rebel and not support them at all. But I suppose only time will tell.

    Easy easy hydro cucumbers

Looks good. A simple hydroponic solution that does not require pumps or anything fancy. I'm going to try it. Thanks Rev!

    company fires smokers

What about if this was accepted as truth: quote:"Looking at our safety records, (we know that) people who smoke seem to have higher accident rates than nonsmokers," he said. I'm not a fan of statistics personally, I suppose I'm paranoid that an "authority" could make any point they want from a carefully sculpted (abstracted from reality) test group. However, lots of professions on this planet use statistics all the time like in the point above, and so in this time and place, statistics carry some clout. I think that if the above point was proved it would be very persuasive for anti-smoking legislation some time down the road. [ 19. February 2005, 10:23: Message edited by: peas-pipe ]

    Fear and Loathing.........

"ALSO does anyone know is it possible to burn a divx file on a dvd burner so i can watch the movie on my dvd player???" Yes its possible, and pretty easy with a program like WinDVD Creator. The quality is only as good as the original DivX though.

    microsoft rocks

I use firefox as a browser as apposed to IE and I never have any problems with adware because 99.99999% of adware are designed for IE and to get around IE's poor security ... and I don't press "yes" to installing some dodgy program from some dodgy site. I also use private IPs, so no connections to my computer can ever be initiated externally (no port forwarding). I have never bothered with personal firewall software because it is just another application to waste RAM and CPU time. However, I would recommend it if you just insist on using the most feature-less and problem prone browser there is, IE.

    Mushroom Identification

Hello there, I am trying to identify some mushrooms that I photographed a couple of years ago. At the time I didn't think to smell them or anything like that (as indicated at http://www.agarics.org/Index.jsp) a friend and I just decided to wander through a swamp and take photos of fungus. So, since my own attempts to identify these have all failed, I thought I would post a couple of pictures and hope that some one will have more of an idea than myself. Firstly, here is a red one that grows on wood (that of course is all the technical information I am aware of) Secondly, this is a puff ball Lastly, here is a yellow one that grows on grass when it is wet That is all. Thank you very much for any help and /or comments. Chris

    Getting election jitters

Does this mean we officially have a totalitarian government? If so, can a totalitarian government also be a democratic government?

    Places To Stay In Byron

My brother and I stayed there for new years last year on the cheap. We got a car relocation from Sydney to Brisbane for the 30th, 31st, and 1st, where the company paid the first $150 worth of fuel. It worked out well, as we got to see a lot of places around Byron Bay because we had a car. Total cost of transport and accomodation for both of us - $3 ($1 per day). After we dropped the car off in brisbane, we made our way back and stayed at the Arts Factory. Not a bad place, $12 per night for campers $18 for a bed in a dorm. The only problem that I remember was that last year around new years everywhere in Byron Bay was full, but then we weren't exactly organised enough to book in advance. Another place we found to be good, if you've got transport, is the Rainbow Temple (somewhere around Nimbin) and they let you stay by donation, and there a nice bunch of people. Have fun, don't forget to check out the areas around Byron if you have a chance. Chris

HELP! Plant attacked by invaing bugs!

I used to use diluted dishwashing detergent on spidermites. Didn't hurt the plant at all, but I always sprayed it with water after bugs were dead.

    Mushroom Inarticulation

"Interesting that they were called the Mushrooms of Language by one of the American indian groups." Were they? They must have meant the unspoken word.

    Mushroom Inarticulation

I know of someone who, in a place where legal, consumed P. cubensis and had the problem you described with speech. The thoughts and feelings were there, he said, but he couldn't put them into words.

    spore print availability

Before I used a bought exotic print, I made a print from a field mushroom from the shop. I made the print by printing it on one piece of foil for five hours, and then move the cap to a second piece of foil. I used the print on the second piece of foil. I read that on the shroomery, all the contam spores fall off on to the first print (theoretically). You should have seen me when the mycelium started taking over, and there was no contams in site, I was jumping up and down cheering. But this tested my print taking technique, syringe making technique, sterilization technique, etc. So, if you really think you're going to screw it up why don't you test it with something like that? Also, I think its kind of respectful to buy at least one thing from people who are putting so much effort in to making things like these available to us, but that's just me. Good luck! [ 01.
