    Flower photo heavy 2013 season

Well not quite flowers yet but they are going to be!! Very excited, my gardens so young and I just have to be patient but this 2 meter tall cutting I got of Tipz Macro has about 6 flowers on it. I am not sure this cutting has even rooted yet!! I have a Validus cutting which looks like flowering but not sure yet so will post up later. I hope it does flower as would love to cross this Macro with the Validus.

A special cactus garden (IMAGE HEAVY!!)

Wow what a beautiful collection!! Getafix
  3. Hey Nemistry, The seed came from an online Trade Me vendor years ago. In fact most of that collection I had which is now spread around NZ came from the same source. I was just getting started and excited to have seed and just didn't ask the right question about origin. Wish I had as some beautiful Peru's, Macro's etc came from that seed. Glad to see they are all well loved! Cheers Getafix
  4. Looking good mate. That Macro looks a little familiar, where did Ceres get it? I sold a few but can't remember if she took any, they were beautiful plants!! Cheers Getafix

    getting high, airplane toilet

My girlfriend and I flew back from London to Sydney on one occasion and found once we got to our apartment in Sydney that she had a half ounce block of hash in her hand bag.We were both completely unaware of it being there which is probably the only reason it wasn't detected, we weren't sweating beads at customs. Needless to say we were extremely diligent after that in checking our luggage when travelling!! That was in the late 90's, would not want to be in that situation today Getafix
  14. Well I have been busy over the last couple of weeks getting the garden ready for spring/summer. Have done the following: Spread stone through my cactus beds to help with water retention in summer and weed control Planted my Validus cutting out into the ground so the roots can get established before the harsh summer sun sets in Bought another temporary glasshouse from Bunnings and moved all my seedlings outside. Seedlings shown are Zelly's Validus crosses, Peru's and crosses from CBL, Nitrogens mutants, lots of freaks happening in there, very excited, and a bunch of new purchases from SAB store which include T.Peruvianus (Len), T.Glaucus, T.Peruvianus (Los Gentiles), T. Macrogonus (Blue JAC002) x T. Pachanoi (Omar), T Bridgesii clones Tim, Jess, Kai, Hans, Bruce and Con. Noticed an odd looking pup on one of my Eileens, will keep an eye on that baby. And generally admired these beautiful Peruvian's and Bridgesii hybrid.

    getting high, airplane toilet

Ha ha, never smoked it on a plane but have eaten cookies and munched a couple of e's before boarding long haul flights, they were interesting times. That was a few years back, wouldn't have the balls to do it now. Getafix

  18. I agree it's a Peru of some sort but i don't think it is Icaros DNA Peru. The pics below are Icaros I have growing Nice plant you have there mate

  22. I was bought up in a hard core religious family with the bible force fed to me for 19 yrs of my life. When I decided thisw as not the life for me I was ex communicated by the church and disowned by my family. Friends (I thought they were) I had known for my whole life would cross the street when they saw me coming. So my thoughts on religion.........well it fucked my family up. Today I have deep seated issues with ORGANISED religion but am very open to my own spirituality and that of others who approach it in a similar vane as myself. I I find my spirituality in my love and awe of nature and the plants that healed me. I don't believe in hell or heaven and now have absolutely no fear of dying which is incredibly liberating as I do not need a blind faith to justify or quantify my existence. I am here to enjoy a short time and a good time on the planet and do not need to understand what the fuck is going on. Marvelling at the way things 'just are' is enough and the plants I love have given me more insight into this universe than any religion. Time for another wine Getafix
