I totally disagree, Trichocereus seedlings can easily die. For example, while I thought a rate was munching on my cacti. I placed a tray filled with seedlings (mostly nitrogen's magic beans) on a high table. Doves landed on the table and ate the whole tray except for 2 crested seedlings I managed to save.

A GT frog in a tank like that could make quite a racket in mating season, but if you do want to give him easy access you could stand up a length of white rainwater pipe with a few escape holes along the length. GT frogs can climb that stuff easily and love living inside it. They also have to visit water each day because they drink by absorption through their skin, and it wouldn't matter if the water level was high or low. Another option for GT frogs is those common plastic hanging pots that have an inbuilt lower reservoir and an overflow hole about the size of a golf ball, the perfect size for a GT frog to get in there and they absolutely love living in those things. Hang a couple within leaping distance from a back porch window where they can feast on insects each night that are attracted to the lights of your house. Your frog sure is a fine specimen Ian, would you consider putting him out to stud? My old girl is a bit of a man eater, she's looking for a stayer, someone who can go the distance if you know what I mean. Call me

Ok so ive been growing this Caapi vine in my front garden, but its grown pretty big. So i decided to move it to a larger property so that it could grow on the trees there. The plant didnt like being moved and we assumed it died. So we ripped it out and now ive got it in my backyard. My question is, how potent do you think it is? How many grams do you think would be needed to make a tea?

The validus were huge man, some where double headers, some multi branched easy 300mm girth for the smaller plants, much thicker than a normal trich. I've asked people who have been sent seed to post their germination and grow results here.

Rescue complete As soon as the sun set, he (or she?) hopped over the yucca, up the plank and onto the lip of the tank! It is such impressive creatures, oozing reptilian zen through huge black eyes. Yeah eventually I will put some big rocks and plants in there, but the wall is my height so not an easy task. There is a lot of flood water around, but this guy has been hanging around the house for a few months now. I have a bunch of succulents and herbs nearby that attracts insects, so prob not a bad spot to be a frog

Cleaning pods sux big time, messy, smelly, wet. ended up doing a bit of everything, bottle, strainer, sieves. The pods that were a bit mushy were the worst, took ages and multiple cleans to get results, still some have bits of snot in them i can't get out so I've dried most and will pick out the dry bits of flesh. The rush was on to clean them as quick as possible as some were going mouldy. I will make sure that they are super dry before bagging, prob leave them out for a week more still. the fire has been on for 3 nights running now drying the seeds, its so hot the doors are open as well. sure is It is extremely generous of Mr X to share the seeds with us.

Recently i had a load of pods to clean. And is one of my most hated jobs. I found that i could give then a quick'massage' in a bowl of water then i pour them through a two part sieve Made for honey extraction. The coarse sieve catches most of the fleshy fibres and the fine sieve caught ALL the seeds. It was almost too good to be true. Edit : coarse and course. Tsk tsk.
