upside Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) I have these lil fellas on my acacia. They don't seem to be doing any damage Edit: well they are doing damage! Sucking the very fresh tips. Somewhat beneficial I guess for "tipping" to create bushier growth Edited February 14, 2015 by upside

Amazonian Posted February 11, 2015 ^ The first two pics look bizarre, but the others look like they may be lady bug babies. Better pics would help, lol.
Bert&Ernie Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) That's the best i could get really. they where defiantly not lady bugs i think as they where way to small... all of that was about the size of a few grains of sand I just thought they looked interesting anyway I don't really expect someone to ID them haha Edited February 11, 2015 by jwerta
Amazonian Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) I just thought they looked interesting anyway I don't really expect someone to ID them haha (http://imgur.com/a/cgoVX) I got it this time.... Spined Soldier Bug . Podisus maculiventris , a beneficial insect. Also known as a stink bug. The nymphs look quite different to the adults. http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/beneficial/podisus_maculiventris.htm The eggs remind me of sea urchins.
