Halcyon Daze Posted March 8, 2013 Well I may not have the awesome larger animals but I love all my tiny critters just the same. Still getting plenty of mileage out of this frog. I didn't even know he was in my first couple shots.

etherealdrifter Posted March 11, 2013 first the bush rats eat my blue corn, now the kingy's eat my second flush of maco village tomatoes. pretty docile creatures eh, the pair flew in,just sat there for a bit, then the male (all red head) helped himself to a small, unripe fruit........suppose it's a payment for the modelling fee haahaa.

Strontium Dawg Posted January 23, 2015 Interbeing, if I had a buck for every spider I have copped in the face on my runs through the bush lately, well, I'd have at least 20 bucks anyway ..

Nibbana Posted December 12, 2015 (edited) Thought I'd share a few random photos... A blue tongue that has been living under our pool deck for several years. Love seeing it out Also a pic of your typical garden skink, found this guy in the house. and... a photo of some flies we found banging on the leaf of some salad greens. Nothing too special, hope you guys like the photos though. Cheers Edited December 12, 2015 by Nibbana

spooge Posted May 27, 2016 this jacket has been hanging in the same position since the end of last winter, outside - near the back door went to put it on this arvo before going out in the rain, and there was a bat asleep in the folds at first i thought it was a moth cocoon or similar and was going to pull it off, when it clicked it was a bat i hung the jacket back up carefully and choose a different jacket to wear it was still there this evening when i had a look if its back there tomorrow the jacket will have to stay unworn until the bat moves on

spooge Posted May 28, 2016 Hibernating for the winter maybe.......hadnt occurred to me that bats hibernate till i saw your post WB and did a bit of research this arvo the bat is still there in the folds of the jacket. turns out theres such a thing as bat boxes that can be made for bats to live in was thinking of rigging something up for the bat and hanging it on the coat rack so i can get the jacket back, like a cardboard mailing tube or similar. would have to very carefully scoop the bat up with the tube, maybe rough up the inside of the tube also so it has some grip with its claws The bat could either be a Southern forest bat or a Little forrest bat from the looky i had at some Australian Museum sites online
