planthelper Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) it's a lovely place and i saw it before any replanting had taken place, the crew there did (and do, as it will be a life long undertaking) a fantastic job. for me it almost feels a bit like willi wonkas factory as there are many plants which look unfamiliar and all of the animals running around are oompa loophas. anyway, i though a short video of the place would be the way to go, as it would give you more the "feel" of the place. apothecary Posted March 22, 2009 (edited) Hi guys, I have one or two pics I took last time and they're very vague but like PH said nothing will give a feel more than a video. Plus, you don't wanna ruin the fun of going there! Wandjina: Providing plants with a healthy purple glow since 1864. I love this photo, it was my wallpaper for ages! Torsten Posted June 17, 2012 I am thinking of having an open day this summer, so that should result in lots of pics. Most of my pics are plant nerdy pics rather than pretty ones.

Max Cady Posted June 17, 2012 I gotta say the dogs really annoy me every time I go there
Torsten Posted June 17, 2012 both of them retreat if you tell them to [may need to gesture to the deaf kelpie] or simply ask the staff to deal with them. For anyone reading this and maybe scared of dogs, the dogs we have running free during business hours are very friendly and harmless. The protector dogs are only out at night. The Maremma doesn't even usually come close to strangers as she is too weary. if the barking annoys then that's pot luck. Most of the time they have bark collars on and are perfectly quiet, but sometimes we need to charge these up. The dogs are an important part of the nursery as they keep the possums, cattle and donkeys from trashing everything and they hunt the rats. They also keep our other animals safe from wild dogs. myco Posted June 18, 2012 I am thinking of having an open day this summer, so that should result in lots of pics. Most of my pics are plant nerdy pics rather than pretty ones. Is it not open all the time? I thought it was a nursery open for business or is this not really the case is it more where you grow your plants to be sold online I would love to see some pics as westerner who's never seen the place and may never see it
