  3. I came across this little guy while out submerging myself in Mother Nature yesterday. Looks pretty good for a Acacia alpina me thinks. How about others?
  4. Too many cutesy cacti here, how about some cactus GOOOORRRREEEEE! This poor fella didn't like it's 1st winter in the ground and got beaten up good and proper with the cold and wet. I waited to see what would happen as the weather warmed up and today I got a chance to see if there was anything I could do. I cut away the dried out skin to expose the mucky stuff, removing some of that too in the process. I’ll see how it dries out before deciding on further measures. The pup looks like it could kick on.
  5. Since living up this was (nearly 2 yrs), I've had plenty of days to see this in action and from the ground I have no way of knowing what is causing it. Today seems like a carbon copy of yesterday, and the sky is clear. I'm interested in looking into this further with better means other than just looking up and taking pictures. I've seen a few docos and I think I will look into what it takes to take soil and water samples. One thing that the docos I've seen on the phenomenon mention are physical side effects. Thankfully(?) I'm not experiencing any and I'd like to think that I'm pretty healthy and in tune with my body. Does anyone know of any active groups in Australia looking into this? I'll go back over the thread for the info that you mentioned in your last post too SallyD. Edited: Whack formatting
  6. Then this from a different location in town, nearly 2hrs from the 1st picture/ http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8326/8104982808_1b4414d8e1_b.jpg
  7. Some pictures I took today (N.E Vic). This is what I was greeted with this morning as I went out side. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8189/8103810927_6546934611_b.jpg The same spot 30mins later. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8333/8104494955_4fe03f7f24_b.jpg

    Odd Sub sub straight

Goldfinger, there was the ones you see and a few more. Yes Mud, that they are:) This season has shown me that for sure. It's that dry in these parts that I've seen very little fungi at all. These guys have grown from the moisture of dew alone I reckon. I used to visit these parts now I live here, so I'm getting to see this unfold on a daily basis. I look forward to a "Normal" Autumn, if there's such a thing from here on, as I think their time has past with the temps getting lower than optimum now.

    Mushie hunt?

^ Lovely shots ^ I prefer the bush any day. Though the Blue Mt.s are a bloody long way from Sydney...

    Psilocybe subaeruginosa

Thanks Brother. My neck of the woods has been cold enough just not wet enough...
  12. It'd be great to see your chook house come to life on these pages CyberPagan.
  13. I WAS thinking of going (not REALLY sold on the idea, too big was my main concern) to Eclipse then had a, what I’m going to call, “Universal Confirmation” happen to me when I tried to purchase an early bird ticket (only way I was going to be able to afford it too). Jumped on line 9am sharp to purchase, got to the last page after filling out my deets, click OK and WOP, the next webpage I see is a 404. I can’t tell if my credit card deets had gone through and didn’t want to take the chance on buying another ticket. Emailed support with a screen shot of the 404 and the short answer was “tough tities” (my words). I think I’m still keen to do “something” up that way, just nothing else has come up yet.
