I came across this little guy while out submerging myself in Mother Nature yesterday. Looks pretty good for a Acacia alpina me thinks. How about others?

Too many cutesy cacti here, how about some cactus GOOOORRRREEEEE! This poor fella didn't like it's 1st winter in the ground and got beaten up good and proper with the cold and wet. I waited to see what would happen as the weather warmed up and today I got a chance to see if there was anything I could do. I cut away the dried out skin to expose the mucky stuff, removing some of that too in the process. I’ll see how it dries out before deciding on further measures. The pup looks like it could kick on.

Since living up this was (nearly 2 yrs), I've had plenty of days to see this in action and from the ground I have no way of knowing what is causing it. Today seems like a carbon copy of yesterday, and the sky is clear. I'm interested in looking into this further with better means other than just looking up and taking pictures. I've seen a few docos and I think I will look into what it takes to take soil and water samples. One thing that the docos I've seen on the phenomenon mention are physical side effects. Thankfully(?) I'm not experiencing any and I'd like to think that I'm pretty healthy and in tune with my body. Does anyone know of any active groups in Australia looking into this? I'll go back over the thread for the info that you mentioned in your last post too SallyD. Edited: Whack formatting

I WAS thinking of going (not REALLY sold on the idea, too big was my main concern) to Eclipse then had a, what I’m going to call, “Universal Confirmation” happen to me when I tried to purchase an early bird ticket (only way I was going to be able to afford it too). Jumped on line 9am sharp to purchase, got to the last page after filling out my deets, click OK and WOP, the next webpage I see is a 404. I can’t tell if my credit card deets had gone through and didn’t want to take the chance on buying another ticket. Emailed support with a screen shot of the 404 and the short answer was “tough tities” (my words). I think I’m still keen to do “something” up that way, just nothing else has come up yet.

My 1st look-see for the season and the forest didn't disappoint

Great read this thread, thank you for all the information everyone. If one was to purchase the SAB la Fée, what would be a good off the shelf alcohol to mix it with?

White Hills (pictured below) is well worth it IMO So is Cactus Country. If you are near Springvale when you get to Melbourne, there is also Collectors Corner. -
I started a bunch off today. Did the nick, hot water soak then outer shell removal to the seeds and they are now in Yates seed growing mix.

Not to worry sharxx, thanks for your efforts :-)

Liking the raised bed a lot Stillman Potted this beautiful T. peruvianus cut from the recent Tripsis sale. I think I should have gotten a bigger pot. It’s dwarfing this 13”er. Something took a chunk out of one of my bridgesii too :/

My understanding is, If sending by post, you do not have to fill out a customs dec, though the parcel will potentially have more likelihood of it being scrutinised if it has not got a custom dec. You need to present photo I.D to fill out the customs dec.

Things are looking very close to a dead cert for me at this point! It will be a fitting ending to 2 wks holiday. Due to this, it will be difficult for me to jump on line after Monday 5th March. Any chance someone can PM me the directions anytime before then?

For those that want to go smokeless and connect with their bees, this is a good video on the subject. A really good YouTube channel too IMO.

The SAB giant pumpkin growing contest
Mt.B replied to El Presidente Hillbillios's topic in Chill Space
I didn’t bother entering coz I’m growing for food not size and I thought the growing conditions would have been better elsewhere. There’s been a bumper crop here! Some good sized Jarrahdales that I will post soon. The vines are starting to die off, not long now till harvest. -
I recently got this seed grown one through P.D. Not sure where the seed is from. The sprouting pumpkin gives you some scale

Freed up two more root bound bridgesii into 13” terracotta, then used the pots they were in to finally pot the last of my P.D Pack, an icaro peruvi & J1 x Pach PC. I’ve planted the icaro on that angle to straighten it out.
