strangebrew Posted July 2, 2004 Waterdragon's mention of blue vodka has just reminded me of a question I've always had. Does boiling any particular strain of aussie shroom turn the water blue? I haven't found this to be the case with SA subs but my very first experience was with a brew that someone else had previously done. It was at night so I couldn't see the liquid very well and being my first time I knew absolutely nothing about shrooms anyway but it was in an opaque container and I swear the liquid looked blue. It was definately a lot darker than any brew my gnome has ever done.
mescalito Posted July 2, 2004 A bloke I used to live next door to showed me some 'juice' he made from a water extracted half-colonised cake(obviously impatient)...it was definitely smurf coloured

Guest electro Posted July 17, 2004 " drop some vit C in and watch it turn back" does it do that if you add vinegar ? vit c is an acid isnt it ??? perhaps the salt form has slightly different qualities (ie isnt blue) ? ive also heard peeps say that the blue may be an oxidation reaction .. if this is the case a asorbic salt "could" (im guessing here, can you tell ?) raise stability & stop oxidation & stop more production of blue byproduct...
