Ishmael Fleishman
What is the likely cause of this yellowing along the line of the Areole in this San Pedro - is it variegation or lack of nitrogen or other?
Strontium Dawg
Could be that it's getting strong light somewhere it's not used to, and/or needs nitrogen. Give it a feed of some of your urine every day for a week, and make sure to give plenty of water also, cos salt buildup
Ishmael Fleishman
It is basically winter now and it is a fresh cutting been given to me by a friend and has no roots. Will feeding it nitrogen now really help or will it just remain yellow until it gets some roots of its own.
SayN
Lol - no roots. Useful info to know. That's likely your problem right there. If it was me i'd probably cut the tip a bit higher up, let that callous over winter and replant in fairly inert soil closer to Spring.
