fraud at ebay

Recommended Posts

gonzo - post the name of the bastard. it's a small world and while he might be able to hide from the authorities it is much more difficult to hide from 'everybody'.

I hate scammers. I am a very trusting (ie too trusting) person, and when someone abuses that trust I'd rather throw another equal lot of money at teaching them a lesson than to let them get away with it.

Scammers piss me off. A couple of years ago I flew to melbourne just to sort out a guy who had scammed a few people on these forums. It cost five times as much for the trip than what the value of the scam was, but it was worth it :D

hey, just imagine this guy starts working somewhere in his new profession. I am sure he would make amends as soon as someone started making a bit of noise. Not many companies like to have the smell of fraudsters hanging around.

That bastard only cost you one hundred and twelve dollars?

You could do worse – the world is full of conniving self serving assholes like Mr. eBay Rip-off; we all experience fraud in one way or another, so I understand your desire to vent your rage and have revenge.

In my experience Karma is as real as the scientific premise of cause and effect – that all things act and react with the events and pressures around them.

This Mr. eBay Rip-off idiot has chosen to exploit a technological evolutionary vacuum in order to create an easy niche for himself – but he already has competition, and will soon be caught. The eBay prey biomass - those of us that trade fairly, giving and receiving in kind – will react collectively, to arm against Mr. Ebay Rip-off’s predatory actions. Assure yourself, that his balance will be reached, and he will have to struggle to survive or die.

He cost you Gomaos, one hundred and twelve dollars, but as Mr. eBay Rip-off continues to prey, in a trading world that reacts dynamically to his actions, he will eventually accumulate a debit that has to be repaid. Mr. eBay Rip-off has been doing what he does for some time now - else he would have not understood the nuances of his game and ripped you less politely.

When Mr. eBay Rip-off is tangled by the masses of grazing-like-Gomaos, he will have to find a way to repay upwards of one hundred and twelve thousand dollars. You have nothing to worry about Gomaos, you can easily recover from a one hundred and twelve dollar loss, and your daughter still loves you unconditionally.

actually i did get 97 bucks back.

I also got some email from his potential customers...

they actually seem to believe if they buy his "e-booklet" a real ps2 will fall from the sky for them...

what's that? stupidity? or what/

Can someone explain the concept of "e-books" please, I don't get it?

E - books + fat metabolizing pills + getting wealthy by selling Amway packages + finding god by donating ten percent of your income, in the hope of becoming a pastor all = fraud (false hope x money loss)

Gomaos, the key to understanding why anyone compels you to do anything is asking yourself, 'what is in it for them'

E - books are garbage - they want you to give up your time and money to earn something that is already grossly out of date, when you could have bought it secondhand at Cash Converters for less!

Not to worry you still got $97.00 to put toward another PS2!

P.S. What about trying the 'Trading Post' - at least you get to meet the seller locally and see what it is they are selling.

Good luck!

im often know to be quite the JADED type .. so i'll suggest some jaded ways of revenge. please forgive me if its a little too over the top .. i did tell you i can be jaded.

1. sign him up for every porn site known to man and beast

2. write email to common porn sites requesting if they have any child pornography, leaving his email address . .current police filtering will get him in shit within minutes

3. deleted

4. post a bounty on hacker sites ($50 is heaps) to hack his account, domain, and home computer.

5. contact media and tell them eBay is complicit in interent fraud, and that they support fraudulent operators. (well they didnt ban him)

6. deleted

7. re-write your feedback to say "FRAUDULENT OPERATOR _ CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POLICE"

8. remember his name and details and at every opportunity for the rest fo your life take the time to blacken his name.

.... now thats jaded.

Have tried the " sign 'em up " to a mail list in my jaded past but it was Christian sites(heaps worse i would imagine !) not porn that i signed my foe up to.But the trouble is they send out a confirmation e-mail before they go ahead !! Now the jaded way around this dilema is to 'sign em' up to a dud account ,then confirm ,then chage e-mail address to foes !

No, the more appropriate way is to use anonymous/public SMTP server lists off the internet to forward him mail from your own PC. Mailbomb his account. This is a technique we used to stop scammers on the internet back in the day. If they cant receieve emails then they can't get customers, eh!

DISCLAIMER : I disclaim anything that might get me in trouble. :P

Nah..really you should only fantasize about the above (he says selling-out) .. truth is, you should live in hope that people like this have a general come-uppance in their life, even if not by their own standards, at least by the standard within which you have discovered to define life.

ultimately there is no divinity in retribution .. to forget would be remiss, but to continue would be virtuous.

Gomaos, 'Go' will be jealous that 'MA' has an X box and 'OS' will be begging to use either of them!

I hope you know what you got yourself into!

Well, Gom isn't the only one to get done by these sort of people... There was a short Story in the Sunday mail about people getting ripped off by fraudulent e-bay sales.

That kind of misleading title listing on ebay is called "keyword spamming" which is against ebay seller rules, except he did far worse because he also put a picture of a PS2 in the auction.

I have been away from the site for several months and just caught up to this post tonight, I realize it is old news, but what he did isn't allowed and his ebay account should have been suspended for it.

I'd be sending all of his higest bidders warning emails to let them know that this just an ebook.

Its a shame you didn't know before hand, or you could have paid with a url (to a picture of some money).

This is a bit differnt but Ive seen this a lot on ebay. People trying to sell playstation one's, the newer small style ones, as playstation 2's. They will say things like "this is a brand new playstation version 2" and buyers get confused and end up ordering a ps1 and paying a huge price for it while they are expecting to get a ps2. Ebay is full of so much fraud. LOL my friend (who got kicked off ebay for this) was making fake auctions (not to rip people off but to make his rating better). and he was selling a fridge, and wrote all this crap about how it is broken and has no motor and he kept getting emails from people wanting to buy it.

LOL once i had a fake auction (no id never rip anyone off it was just a joke auction, ripping people off on ebay is horrible) and I said I was selling a "$20 skateboard from big w, its broken with no wheels. $15 starting bid plus $10 postage and handling". I actually got emails from people wanting to buy it and asking me to describe it .etc lol
