Went to Melbourne on the weekend and spent a morning wandering through the gardens.  I was very impressed with the cacti and succulent collection and thought i'd share a few photos.

Worked in the Melbourne Botanical Gardens in the early 80s, building footpaths, saving lakes, etc. The cactus collection then, consisted of a small glasshouse with small cacti and have not been back since. I have heard good reports since then and am planning a trip there in the near future and your pictures give a good sample of what I may expect.
