FancyPants Posted February 26, 2015 I don't know very many cacti yet, but looking up that tephrocactus... they look beautiful! I love the look of lophs, squat, chaotic yet ordered, and the beautifully juxtaposition trumpeting pink flowers! Love the look of peruvianus' too, the blue-green with golden red spines... gorgeous. plus so many more I'm only just beginning to learn about and collect

incognito Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Ariocarpus fissuratus for my eye is the most beautiful cactus I have come across. Edit- if you are talking trichs my fav is trich bridgesii "Kai" Edited February 27, 2015 by incognito
thegreatartist Posted March 11, 2015 I agree with interbeing about Rosei #2 when it comes down to Trichs. Also there are a lot of small mexican species, I love the looks of Aztekium ritteri and ariocarpus kotschebeyanus. The tension between perfect perplexing symetry and total chaos in their morphology. Also, ariocarpus and such slow growing cacti has an apealing skinn, like the plants where crossed with animals or something fleshy. O o wait one more. T. Glaucus though Ive never seen one in real life.
etherealdrifter Posted March 11, 2015 ^its like life in that sense the above representations of cactus form. thy twisty isty of ever evolving lines. cactus is a pretty evolved form but you are better I agree with interbeing about Rosei #2 when it comes down to Trichs. Also there are a lot of small mexican species, I love the looks of Aztekium ritteri and ariocarpus kotschebeyanus. The tension between perfect perplexing symetry and total chaos in their morphology. Glaucus though Ive never seen one in real life. its a nice feeling to interweave your plants with a human trait like love through spoken word. i often think what a plant would say when a device mind can interpret the blips and bops into comprehensible language for you. my worst nightmare is an inter planetary species coming to earth and running the planet. like the movie gremlins or little shoppe ob orror'de hors

Myeloblast Posted March 16, 2015 Favorite columnar is probably Rauhocereus riosaniensis, also love anything especially glaucus though Favorite overall cactus has to be from Ariocarpus genus though...my favorite species is A. scapharostrus, fissuratus v. lloydii a close second. Sure do wish these were my plants, but they aren't...
