Trichocereus ID Please (Spachianus?)

Question

Hi i was recently given this cutting by a local cactus farmer. I cannot for the life of me remember what he said it was. Can you tell? Does the yellowing look to be Variegated or no?

It's not variagated, just needs more sun, but harden it off slowly. Not a T. spach, would be good to see it flower to get an idea as to what genus. Someone here might be familiar enough with the plant to have a go. also something for scale in the photo, if it's really thin i reckon it might be Peniocereus sp.

Yeah, the yellow just looks like lack of light coloration. I'm not really sure what species it is though.

Mate, I can't tell the scale if you are just using other plants, add a coin or lighter, something we all know the size of. haha. funny effort but... again I really doubt this is a Tricho.

...its about 3-4" wide.

Looks exactly like a Trichocereus thelegonus , good call interbeing, i think so at least.

in the first pic you can see the patterning that is obvious on most thelongonus, the 6 sided shapes.

second image shows it more pronounced on a google image pic

what do ya'll think?

dont hurry. You didn't even root it yet.

its a difficult plant to ID, and cacti teach patience.

columnars are among the most difficult to ID especially without flowers...
