If the scion feels hard at this point, sweet. Looks good though.

Looks to me like it has taken.

A bit funny looking in the centre, but thats probably just the beginning of the new growth.

Well done. Your addiction to the art of grafting begins....

yes indeed the addiction has begun. im abit worried that the loph is getting too much sun? its not bright green, more cloudy pink brown blueish greenish. it had no direct sun for 2 weeks, then 4 hour direct sun for 3 days, and direct sun for 6 hours till the 3 week mark, now. its not potato firm, like a ripe peach :)

,.. It's possible that it did not take that well. I see allot of space between the graft and the stock. Maybe the band did not press it down enough??.... or maybe you did not put it in a humidity chamber??, which might have allowed the stock and graft to dry out too quickly. Just an observation from the 2 side shots.

if it took,... leave it on! Don't even try feeling if it has taken firmly. Because if you take it off there is no guarantee that it will root and start growing on it's own again. In my experience with my own first few grafts, some of the buttons did not make it.

I use 2 rubber bands and superglue depending on the size of the graft.
