somnif Posted December 21, 2002 I really hate to be the harbinger but be *very* careful when dealing with chemical suppliers - if I have ever met a group of people who are more paranoid than I (besides the CEC and perhaps a number of other fringe, tin foil wearing mobs ;-) ) it is the people who work behind the counter in these places. Certain chemicals will ring silent alarm bells; know some alternative uses for your product and expect to be asked why you want it and how you are going to use it. Don't say 'cleaning purposes' if the conditions which you are purchasing under say this is not an approved use of purchases (Sigma, Selbeys, and others, from memory). Khow the terms and condition of purchase. If you think Sigma Pools are not going to notice a sudden influx of small orders of a particular chemical then I think you'd be mistaken. Much, much better if someone properly organised orders a large amount just once (and does the right thing) During the last decade many of these chemical suppliers have been close to the law enforcement agencies (see Victoria and the ephedrine purchasing farce that went on by the Vic. Drug Squad for big meth manufacturers in the last decade) - be aware of this. I am not saying 'don't do this', just do it sensibly and intelligently - have a good story in mind, don't have a dozen 'pot' plants out the back of the house while you are doing it, etc. etc. Main point: While it is not illegal it may ring silent alarm bells which is something to keep in mind. Oh, and if you want to get rid of a litre of 1,4 then email me, I may have some interesting things to trade :-) Yours paranoidly, S. That's why I have so far refrained from ordering. Much, much better if someone properly organised orders a large amount just once (and does the right thing) Exactly. But who should this be? Oh how easy it was when Pharmaceutical Shaman was still around... I'm not willing to pay Sydney prices, i.e. 1 l DILUTED for $200!!!!! For that price you might as well just get the "real" thing (like meth or e)... (if they weren't illegal) So I'm doing nothing for now just sit tight and see what happens here... No hurry anyway.... Certain chemicals will ring silent alarm bells; know some alternative uses for your product and expect to be asked why you want it and how you are going to use it. Generally, I regard the suppliers as like the person behind the cigarette counter, with me as the under-age would-be purchaser. Most of them just want to do business, but they also have to conform with government reporting requirements, which they tend to regard as tedious. So I don't really see entrapment as part of the game, unless you are unlucky enough to run into a cop shop-front. These can sometimes be distinguished by the fact that they are willing to sell ephedrine, safrole, P2P, ergotamine tartrate, etc, with no questions asked! My gnome's strategy with such things is, first, to ring in advance and find out if they do ad-hoc retail orders and if the supplies are in stock. At that point, you should also be informed if there are any unusual reporting requirements. If they want a name, give them a name. If they want a credit card payment, too bad, you've only got cash. If they want a phone number, you would prefer to ring _them_ back because you are in and out a lot. If they want to discuss usage of said order, you don't know, you're just picking it up for someone else who apparently is into essential oil extraction/electroplating/whatever. The worst thing that can happen is that you walk out empty-handed, but that should all have been established in advance anyway. Obviously, avoid mail-order. somnif Posted January 19, 2003 Here is something which must be read if you are even considering dealing with a chemical supplier for any reason what-so-ever: http://www.pacia.org.au/Health/IllicitDrugCode.pdf If your intentions are legal (plant extraction etc.), you have little to worry about, but common sense should be used. John_Barleycorn Posted January 25, 2003 somnif:Here is something which must be read if you are even considering dealing with a chemical supplier for any reason what-so-ever: Great info. I guess a lot of it is already out there in underground circles, but just in case: attempt to order any cat 1 or 2 chemicals and you most definitely will draw some heat. But those are hardly the substances we tend to talk about round here.

faustus Posted January 29, 2003 well is there anyone living in perth metro who's willing to get some 1,4-b delivered to their place? i contacted one of the suppliers listed in the thread and they're cheap and freight to perth costs $11, but to sydney it costs $150. so why don't a few of us chuck in some $ and get 5 litres or so delivered to someone in perth, then australia post everyone's shares out. i'm down, so long as we all agree that it'll be used for cleaning cds and nothing else.
