Australian Psychoactive Plants forum

Recommended Posts

I'm sure most of you are already aware of a new forum at the "Australian Bushfood and Native Medicine" site:

http://www.guruna.com/forum/

Well worth a visit and supporting.

Run by the enthusiastic Rimbaud, who you probably already know as here as "RimbaudRambo". :P

I feel it will be a great collection of information on natives and their various uses, in the near future.

well, I was just about to, but there is no forum that covers sea beans unless they are medicinal, psychoactive or edible......

once again the Sean Bean community is being neglected :(

i just want to thank those who are regularly visiting the new bushfood forum (despite the scarcity of new topics )

I'm trying to get other bushfood-oriented sites to link to it, but this is a gradual process of course. Rest assured i am doing everything i can think of to advertise the forum and get new contributors.

(if anyone has more ideas, please tell me :) )

i don't expect the forum to "get off the ground" for at least another few months. Feel absolutely free to start topics on any native-related topic you like. I added an "Other Natives" area for everything that doesnt fit as bushfood or medicinal.

Ideally i'd like to somehow make some Gardenweb users aware of the forum, but i am not sure how to do that given Gardenweb's ultra-strict enforcement of no advertising of any kind (and i assume no links to "competing" forums...)

Gardenweb is a great resource in some ways, but i really think a native food & med forum should be located in australia and run by people with a genuine passion for the topic/area.

And if there is one thing that everyone on the SAB forums has, it's genuine passion Thanks again guys for supporting the new forum.

Torsten, I think this is an opening for you to post about your sea bean

hey ,the only reason i created this other section was for Torsten and his silly Sea Beans

i'll appoint torsten as a moderator of the sea bean forum if he likes? He could create little sub-sections, like -

* Counting Sea Beans

* Sea Bean Shapes

* Sea Beans that look like Famous People

* Spirituality & your Sea Beans

* Sea Bean Chemistry

* How hard is your Sea Bean?

* Sea Beans - Legal Info (not to be relied upon for legal counsel)

*Ritual enema use of sea-beans by Inca tribes.

hehe, sorry to bring the level of the conversation down guys. :D

Just a quick note - the Bushfood forum has been off air this morning due to a big blackout in California.

At the moment the guruna.com website is up but DB and email are down (and this causes the error when you try to visit the forum). Apparently the problem will be fixed within a couple of hours...

UPDATE - Back on the air :)
