goneski Posted June 28, 2012 (edited) Awesome work officers, great job. Lives are saved. You are heroes.. This dirty scurge will never make it to the streets and harm poor, innocent school children. I really hate it when they start talking about "street value". The irony of the situation -- that drugs obtain "street value" for being prohibited / outlawed -- is completely lost on them. Hyphal Posted July 11, 2012 Another peice of editorial vomit - http://au.gwn7.yahoo.com/w1/video/-/watch/29932789/more-magic-mushrooms-seized-in-south-west/ In a way, there are some plus sides to this kind of journalism - anyone with half a brain who can research things for themselves will be able to see how much the media lies, and hopefully the new 'internet' generation will start losing faith in it and they will go out of business... Also, its probably serves to scare off some of the hunters who aren't as passionate or respectful to the area.
shruman Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) $6000 / 700g = $8.57 per wet gram 10% of 700g = 70g of dry mushrooms $6000 / 70g = $85.71per dry gram $85.71 x 2g = $170 a trip. Police & Media integrity = WORTHLESS Realy?, they think people will swallow ubiquitous naturaly occurring mushrooms are more expensive than Coke/Heroin/Meth? Numina Posted July 11, 2012 I guess it depends on the "street value" or the weight or whatever but what are the penalties being dished out by the courts for this stuff. I thought there were very few prosecutions being pursued by the cops in aus. What's it like in other states?
