incognito Posted March 9, 2015 Hacked the bejesus out of my penis cacti collection, repotted penis mother plants and callousing off a few hundred penis cuttings. Figure I'm gonna be a penis cactus farmer for some extra coin. Planted a few hundred homegrown loph seed I've accumulated over the last couple of years, growing em outdoors, will rig up my prop chamber to house them over winter. Now just have to propagate some Eileen which I will use as a rootstock to graft them onto to sell for some extra said coin.

mutant Posted March 12, 2015 after days of fucking rain, the sun came and it was a nice day and I potted by new babies, if you can call those rather large chunks of new crests I bought babies.. also took the time to plant/repot few others.. cropped some mandrake fruits... and something is eating these fruits, but not the seeds lol! - as I saw some of my most precious haworthias having being eaten , likely by some snail ... see? fucken rain.. we need warmth and drought now to root cuttings and have speed of growth... and snails will leave... there's nothing worse than lots of rain when you want to do repotting work with cacti and you have only a small surface of shed to protect them. especially if they're rare / expensive . I hope it doesn't rain again, cause I will be anxious...

mutant Posted March 14, 2015 received a psychO cutting (I will now do the psycho vs TIG comparison I wanted) did some serious deweeding in many pots. and some rearranging, putting same with same weather forecast says we gonna have sunny days for a while!
incognito Posted March 15, 2015 (edited) eBay is a great platform for poor psychonaughts with bills to pay! I'd never dream of selling plants here for the money I get on eBay, I'm a capitalist when my bills are overdue ;) Though it all depends on who's watching and how much they want it, I've sold plant for 5 times what they are worth and I've sold em for much less than what they are worth. I find it kinda exciting selling there as well. Azs that flower is phenomenal, I gotta get more plants like that! djmattz0r Posted March 15, 2015 Took the back plastic off the hoop house and weeded. Now it looks nicer and won't be as much of a sauna during these warm sunny days. Before: After: My plan is to put a bunch of cuttings I currently have rooting into clay pots and stagger them in the available space between cacti until it fills out a bit more then they will be easy to move to other locations.

DiscoStu Posted March 21, 2015 new tactic for compost. gunna get a shitload of big pots, fill em with leaves, and just tip one pot over into another once every few weeks to turn it. hope that makes sense.. this is basically all i do with my compost, just put the scraps/grass clippings/left over soil in a pot (with holes in the bottom) and turn it every few weeks. i have a few going so once i fill one up sufficiently i leave it to "cure" and start on another one. takes about 3 months or so to break down
mutant Posted March 21, 2015 hacking day for me too! I took 27 TBM cuttings, most double-branched, some triple, some multibranched , a couple single, some 10+ pachanoi crest cuttings, 5 myrti geometrizans melty crest cuttings. used toothbrush to clean some cacti from scale and mealie-like nests (it seems not all damage in my pach-crests was done from spidermite, some of it seems to be from something else) , did some deweeding too.. One Oxalis sp. has been thriving in some pots..
