Would pitcher plant help?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitcher_plant

grab them from local hardware shop, bunnings for a few bucks.

My favorite man eating plant.

I have 3 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepenthes_mirabilis i can trade (all with large pitchers)

OR

even better, instead of sticky fly paper use the STICKY FLY PAPER PLANT:

pinguicula

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinguicula

Mosquitoes will stick to it.

OMG that looks so amazing !

Otherwise try to get a few dragonflys is there. They will feast on the little flying bugs !

check this link

I use sticky pads to try and keep down fungus gnats i assume it would work for mosquitos as well.

ya man some of the pitcher plants are amazing, there are many hybrids, we even have native ones from our sub tropics.

Sticky pads work great but why buy pads when you can simply plant some "pinguicula" everywhere (they are sticky pads).

My tobacco plants used to catch bugs as well. Not sure if it was the sticky leaves or the toxicity, or both but there was always a layer of dead bugs on the leaves. In the meantime i am going to go and see if i can get the plant in the above picture.

3g of FOOD GRADE! Diatomaceous earth to 1 litre water mist once or twice a week , apply the powder dust to base of plants if needed to kill infestation , gnats etc also apply around inner base of GH an vent ports after prelonged 1-2 months use will clear almost any an all bug flies mozzies snails catterpillas from area in most places well it has in my experiance anyway you may have to use more depending on how "tropical" your GH enviro is , also kills all natural helpful insects that come into conatct with it though my GH is a no bug zone period

put up a few sticky traps always in any home GH

really depends on your antural enviroment if your in a mozzie plague area no matter what you do wont get rid of them

I have had alot of carnivorous plants because they require wet feet they tend to provide a good environment for mozzies more than actually control populations.

But they are very very cool.

Try to get rid of any stagnant water if mozzies are bad honestly the best bet are some sort of citronella candle or coil also they dislike wind movement so a hand helf abttery fan will blow them away too.

some people say, planting out lemon sented geraniums helps.

i try not to breed any mozzies, and sometimes, after asking, even checked my neighbours places for any possible sources.

i got my own theory, that a bucket or drum with water and fishes, can actualy reduce mozzies numbers, but if that's true i don't know.

it works by that all mozzies who try to lay eggs, get eaten, same goes for any larvae which might be present aswell.

If you are going to go carnivorous plants, i suggest Nepenthes ( my fav' ). There are highland and lowland varieties. The highland is the more tropical . You may end up getting hooked on them. Another alternative....spider webs, they catch heaps of mozzies.
