obtuse Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Hi all, Found at the same spot as last year. Its been quite dry and warm the last couple of days where i am in Tas, so they are a little dried out, and im a little disappointed that they are not more representative. as they are hygrophanous the viscid layer has dried out completely and they have dried to a yellowish colour. This one is getting on, as the base has started decomposing, but you can see the dried out nipple at the top. Hopefully over the next few weeks as it gets colder and wetter, i'll be able to photograph some better samples. here is the thread from last year: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=24235 Cheers, Obtuse. Its been quite dry and warm the last couple of days Tell me about it, the season got off to such a promising start and there has been nothing but warm cloudless sunny days since which has dried all the surfaces out. One day of rain and some clouds though........

Shroom-Aura Posted April 11, 2011 They have been collected in Victoria as well. I know - one herbarium specimen from Mount Buffalo. but I meant its only place in aus where hunters actively hunt them
Sola Posted April 11, 2011 Great to see they're around in Tassie for all the lucky people who live there, I'm not too hopeful of finding them in SA but I keep my eyes open all the same.
Moses Posted April 11, 2011 Great to see they're around in Tassie for all the lucky people who live there, I'm not too hopeful of finding them in SA but I keep my eyes open all the same. anectodal evidence puts them round chain of ponds or mount lofty, haven't had a chance to hunt for them myself yet but that's the two spots i'd like to walk.
