Hellonasty Posted December 22, 2010 Ok I will include everyone up to Migraineur (post 25). I need address details from Naja and migraineur, I will post here once sent.
planthelper Posted December 22, 2010 great effort, hellonasty! one more thing, the bush those seeds came from is planted very close to a red, narrow leaved, and vienna white, so there is a chance (i guess it's remote) here again, for foreign pollination. maybe one of those seeds was fertilized by the red, and that was my original dream,..... a deep red narrowleaved catha edulis. growing catha by seed is very cool, and sometimes you get a bit of variation in appereance. it always amazes me how such tiny seeds, can grow into such very precious plants.

planthelper Posted January 4, 2011 Should be alright to sow them now I would think, id put them in one of those small plastic greenhouse containers though, planthelper should the soil be kept moist until they start to germinate? sow them out now. i sieved the top layer of pottingmix when i planted those ones out. maybe a good idea not to water them too often, but aswell don't let the pottingmix get too dry. i would germ them outside (but sheltered by a balcony roof or shade cloth, or similar) like that they get exposed to some wind, which will help the seedling to grow up strong (the breeze strenghens the tissue of the plant). if you germ them inside, it will be more difficult to harden them out. although they are rather small seeds, they will form quite robust seedlings right away. always use a sterile pottingmix!
