rogdog Posted May 9, 2010 I got some pretty impressive growth with these plants, so I thought I would put up a log of how they went. I had a big problem with earwigs eating freshly germinated seedlings, so the first pic shows the pots surrounded by a moat to keep the buggers away. That worked very well. The only other pests I have had to deal with are caterpillers pruning the soft branch tips, but they are easy to pick off. Chiral Posted May 10, 2010 Impressive once they get going aren't they...you wait till next year, they will really take off and you will looking for the pruning shears every second week. interesting you got them up in just coir, I assume you potted them out into a more rich organic type medium once the seedlings were established. vote #1 for most ingenious use of a wheelie bin...
