gomaos
It's quite normal for calea to get red or purplish leaves, especially around the tips...but holes?Maybe grasshoppers? Snails?
Fractalhead
This happened to my Caleas around the same time last year year and I freaked out thinking they were being devastated by some kind of pest. All my plants were eventually reduced to brown sticks. Lucky I didn't throw them out because they came back vigorously in spring. Now they're starting to drop leaves again.
