SaBReT00tH
Won a 3cm Ariocarpus Fissuratus on ebay recently (said it was 9 years old) and am just wondering how much these are generally sold for as ebay auction prices seem to vary quite a lot from general sale prices. Won it for $56 + $6 postage ($62 altogether). Did I get ripped off or is this the price something of that size/age usually sells for? Torsten
3cm is probably more like 3-4 years old.
tonic
I also heard that those ones were unhealthy and treated heavily with chemicals. Though that could be rubbish. Not sure.
PD.
I saw one for sale recently that was around 1 or 2cms for $40 i think it was, lophs at the same place were $30 and they were 4 to 5cms across so i reckon $62 isnt a bad price, although there has been quiet a few for sale on ebay recently. SaBReT00tH
what bout a 4cm one 17 years old for $72? This one seems like a more appropriate size/price ratio to me? (I just won a 17yo/4cm for $72 + PnH). Edited July 11, 2007 by SaBReT00tH
Dodie
17yr old that is only 4cm? I think someone is fibbing..
kadakuda
ya no doubt. 15 years old here will get 10+ cm....but those prices don't seem too bad, not cheap but ok. a grafted one here that is 5 cm is about $60 (aud). own roots/seed grown are more $ here. kadakuda
easier than lophs? that depends on climate, they do not do well in the tropical sun!!! they like it warm but not hot. they can grow quick-ish but they can die from over heating easily as well. that is the #1 killer of ariocarpus here.
