ferret Posted October 25, 2006 Awesome ferret  man that garden bed in the last two pics is gonna be insane in a few years. heheh yeah i got a bit carried away with it... and ill probably have to dig em out in a year or so when i move house..
apothecary Posted October 25, 2006   Nice work as usual ferret. Probably a good idea to be digging them up later, they would start crowding each other quickly after developing large rootsystems in the ground.
Evil Genius Posted October 25, 2006 (edited) Ferret, very cool pictures! i had the same Problem this year. Moving the House took me about 2 months. I still have about 30 Boxes of Trichos standing in the old garden. Only thing i know for sure is that i never ever move again when i´m finished. Serious. wisemonkey Posted October 25, 2006 Awesome job mate. I think one of those peruvianoids is the same as I got from a very old plant. Good to see you've been working hard. Its abugger renting with cactus that have to be repotted or planted everytime you move.
mescalito Posted October 25, 2006 Stunning work fez, I'm never game enough to plant mine out for the same reason...having to dig the buggers back up to move.
ferret Posted October 25, 2006 (edited) cheers folks. yer last time i moved house i had maybe 3/4 of this in the ground, it took 2 trips in a 26 seater bus to move em over. about 2 days of digging and repotting. and only a couple of hours to get back in the ground ! some bridgesioids some peruvianoids / macrogoni haha cant you tell im meant to be studying!? The Dude Posted May 23, 2007 That's a very nice looking cactus garden ferret! question about the spacing, after a few years they'd get very crowded yah? do cacti have a tendency to naturally branch out? or does that usually happen after cutting sections to induce pupping? Anyhow cacti are very prickly i've noticed and the less handling the better, it's probably gonna be a headfuck to space them out again, but if you're ripping em out anyway is allgood. keep it up. shit i want to plant my cacti in the ground now! probably be a bit too late now though.
