    In need of print supplies

Hello all, In a series of events and poor planning on my part, i have been left without spore print stock for microscopy. SWIM has been donating prints to both this online community and various other locals in an attempt to spread the love and karma but this has left me without viable prints. Any help would be appreciated friends and in due time karma will bring back to you what is owed. regards, botanical

Govt wants ISPs to record browsing history

Friends, time to get some shell accounts(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shell_account) I also suggest downloading forum archives and e-books and save them to an encrypted external HDD that has the encrypt software on it. stay safe, botanical

    Sporeprint Give Away

Hey all, As the title says, some cube prints for mycoscopy only. If your interested PM me, i do have one condition though, you must have more than 15 posts. Some background info on the prints. In a land far far away, that has no tyranical goverment that hates on fungi, these fruits were grown. There are two types thai and PE#6.. Thai has slender stems, with a caramel cap, they are fast colonizers and quick to fruit. I hear there fruits send people to la la land... PE#6 has thick stems, somwhat squat and dark brown large and meaty caps. PE#6 is a cross of original PE and texan, i believe it represents the texan phenotype. This is the 5th gen from original print, gone from print to fruit, no tissue cultures or isolation... these were grown in a country whose laws do not prohibit their cultivation This isnt my first give away, and wont be my last. stay safe b

    PMA in cairns

During the showing on the news reports, for the latest bust, the pills appeared light green in colour with the mitsubishi logo imprinted. PMA is scary stuff, dosage curve is similar to that of GHB. Chances are these pills have been on the market for ages, and only now they have been reported due to this bust. Unkle staunch, my advice is to stay clear, with these rounds there is much potential for misuse. b

New PM restrictions and member group

I agree the idea behind the 5 min between PM is sound, but it makes it very hard when making 20+ PM's in one session, thats waiting nearly two hours just to get things done.... In the future can members that need to reply to mass PM have special privilages, if only for a small amount of time. b

Stonhenge sounds like your versed on indoor growing. Personally i never got the whole deal about adding orange or lemon peel to rehydrate buds, as said before it invites mold. For storage, just allow to dry, then put in mason jars and open periodically. When to harvest, well invest in a small magnification loupe 5-10x , everyone has personal preferences about the sort of high they want. And by determining the ratio of matured resin glands to un-matured, when you harvest, provides a good standard to go by for any strain. SWIM likes to let them go the full flower period, as they really chunk on the weight in the last few weeks, and allows for a good flush to get rid of residual salts. Outdoor growers should become aware of the summer and winter solstice, and have an idea of day length and its effect on the sacred plant. stay safe everyone

MJ Seeds are illegal in Aus thus the following is about legal species....... mostly tomatoes and climber beans #1 Place beaners in a cup of water and place in a semi-warm dark area. Wait 24 hours and check, beaners that have sunk plant in seed raising mix/prop mix. Keep temp up and soil moisture. Propagation, either in a bubble cloner or aerocloner, easy to do and make seach on google. #2 Herd SWIM likes 18/6 for vegative growth, 12/12 flower. Outdoors early sep, finish late feb early march. Blast with N during growth and switch to P & K during flowering, also check out the benefits of molasses. Pot size depends upon the desired size of plant. PH 6.5-7. rabbits eat plants like its going out of fashion, chicken wire cages help. Loose Lips, sink ships.

    Australia - something is missing

One thing i do have a big problem with in Australia, is the police force. I'm not saying all of them but a majority of beet cops are ASSHOLES! High school bullies that found the perfect job to continue their violent, vindictive ways. SWIM by an unlucky chance was pulled over, meeting all the requirements put forth by the police, he was then told to sit with his hands where the policemen could see them, as they proceeded to search his car( more like chucking everything out of it on a verge). To this point SWIM had been very polite and accommodating, but was nearing his breaking point, SWIM asked the lead cop , "could i please know why you pulled me over?" to this the lead cop became infuriated came right up to SWIMs face and said "cause i can bloody well pull over anyone i want anywhere at any time that's why", SWIM knew this cops was full of negativity so sat silent throughout. When the policemen where satisfied, they left SWIMS belonging on the verge for him to pick up. b

    Australia - something is missing

Kenny you got it brah! Those are massive generalizations, you haven't seen the whole picture! you've only seen what you've drawn! Australia has good and bad people just like any other part of the world, im sure road rage happens in other parts of the world AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE OI OI OI Im studying environmental sciences, and you assertion that australians in general don't care about the environment is completely unfounded, seriously australia has alot of environmental legislation/laws/regulation that is alot stricter than most countries. And to say we don't appreciated the environment, just look at the nature groups, leading environmentalists, greens etc etc. b

    evolution

Evolution , what a expansive topic! In my opinion el barto is on the rights track. Evolution doesn't mean you are progressing in the direction of our perception of "perfect". Evolution is rather selective pressures acting upon a population causing some genes to increase in frequency, thus the evolutionary "fitness" of a individual isn't his desirable traits rather its ability to reproduce. But i disagree with el bartos assertion that there are bad genes/mutations rather there are undesirable genes and mutations. Humans are continuing to evolve, the selective pressures are different in each population. I remember reading an article claiming in the future two main classes of humans will evolve, a tall slender intelligent class and a small unintelligent grunt like class. Who knows where humans will end up, maybe just as in star trek when captain jane-way and jakotae( yes very geeky ) rapidly evolved due to some wierd radiation exposure and take on reptilian traits! wouldn't that be something!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldnt mind a few extra sensory organs,,,,,,,, Thunderideal, i think you raise a good point with fertility/infertility etc etc i wonder since fertility and population growth is higher in asian and african nations this could have an effect on the frequency of genes in the global gene pool! In comparison oceania and most developed countries have very slight population growth and is projected to slow and decline within this century. b

  18. blowng, what surprises me is that next to noone has taken the initiative in establishing new patches. There are locations in WA, situated on the darling plateau( high rain fall areas ) that could support subs. I have gathered from some peoples posts on SAB that eastern state subs are faster and more aggressive colonizers compared to WA subs, maybe starting some new patches with eastern states mycelium is a good idea. As for spores for microscopy, seek and ye shall find~! A few tips! - First thing to do is visit http://www.shroomery.org! This is number 1 on the to do list! SWIM suggest looking at some teks - If you cannot find polyfill, that synthetic cotton, look for aquarium filter wool, very generic even sold at coles. - If you decide on grains, WBS is easy and the cheapest stuff eg coles brand, works fine, even the brands with grit in it although no grit is preferred - Some people find it hard to buy syringes in person, so buy them online!.... i wonder where from :D ! - Don't skimp on a temp & Humidity guage, more so a temp gauge, you can get away with only a temp gauge but humidity gauge helps alot! - You need a few essential tools, the most important of which is a pressure cooker! get one it will make your life easier, going through all the hard work to find contams is heart breaking. Also get some methlayted spirits and bleach, make sure your work surface and tools are sterile. - Start easy with the PF tek , then when you have some confidence go onto bulk substrate! With bulk substrate some things may be hard to come by and in some cases substitutions can be made. Again when you cannot sub seek and ye shall find, make a few phone calls and go for a drive and anything can be found. take it eze b

No more seeds & Plants to WA !

Torsten, sounds like they have your packaging profile sussed. Happens all the time with mail order seed services, customs just looks for the same packaging. I doubt this will effect personal trade, the sheer volume of mail means an attempt to would just be futile, some will get picked but majority wont. What are they going to do go threw everything? have like 150 dogs on standby !!!!!!! gawd! talk about logistical nightmare! ! I understand protecting our borders from OS but ES to WA comon! They can suck my left nut and gargle. b

The WHO cocaine report the US didn't want you to see

It was a good read, i got hold of the leaked report too. The US government really played the hard hand there, this report should really be put out there mainstream. It refutes the official line of the us drug enforcement agency and dispels the myths they have perpetuated through multi-million dollar add campaigns. b

    Way to go Indians!

Racisim is a two way street. Its a very odd thing when if a person of ethnicity blames you for there problems, it isn't racist, but when you do the same it is. Political correctness. In my short life i've come across a fair few situations where i have come under verbal and physical assault due to me been caucasian. In particular there was one instance where me and a friend were walking down a street, and out of the blue a person of ethnicity comes running at us screaming "fuckin white kunt, ill kill you" , he then catapults his fist into my friends eye. Now if this situation was reversed people would view it in an entirely different light, instead of a person been attacked it would be a person of ethnicity been assaulted. People like to be proud of who they are and where they came from, hence they are grouped( asians, indians, pakistani, tamils, lebonese), and its because of this that its easy to feel victimized as a result of your background. The media has, as always, blown up every day events and pushed forward the issue of race/ethnicity which again increases the degrees of separation. If you strip away the issue of race/ethnicity from events you begin to see that things such as the assults on indian students as just another assult, not an assult on an indian. Rationalize what is happening, see it for what it is, just another thing. People are been murded, women are been beaten, grannies topped for there purse, gang rapes the list goes on and on, and some students get beaten up so obviously it "has" to be an issue of race blah blah blah. b

    Home Brew!

Hey guys, Ive been brewing my own beer for a while now! Its really neat and there are so many different styles. Ive adapted BIAB(beer in a bag) technique to my own situation and have had some good batches. At the moment i just have the one fermenter 30L but hope to get another 2 and in time a filtering and 19L kegging system. I get the feeling some people on this forum are anti-drink, so please dont flame me, im just saying brewing is a neat little hobbie! Ive just bottled up some brown english nut ale, YUM!!!, and have started another batch with the intention of brewing a ale similar to that of newcastle brown ale (TOP DROP!). Ill have to wait and see how it turns out, made the wart today chilled and syphoned into the fermenter and pitched yeast, will report tomorrow on yeast activity! For now im sipping on some coopers larger, generic i know but it tastes better when you made it yourself. Anyone else into Brewing! post ahoy hoy! take it eze b
