1/ Not really sure, Borzicactus is a possibilty. 2/ I'm thinking a hybrid with Cuzco lineage 3/ Is the same as the first plant, Borzicactus ? 4/ I'm of the opinion the last plant is a hybrid but has the majority of it's family lines are in the Brigdesii lineage.

Ariocarpus and Astrophytum from the collection.

As for fert, they don't require much at all, they are able to extract nutrients from the minerals in your soil mix. Be sure to use an almost completely inorganic soil mix, any fert is fine just use less than normal or if a liquid mix up 1/4 strength. HN

Wow!! Those are two exceptional examples of A. Fissuratus, be sure to treat them well. Be sure to research their cultivation extensively they can be difficult especially when changing their environment. Enjoy these beauties HN

    Ariocarpus Retusus ?Variegated?

Aztekium are extremely difficult especially in the early stages, but it certainly can be done. I have had success grafting 1mm diameter seedlings to Hylocereus, took about 6-7months to get that size, however once on the hylo they grow much much faster (+500% at least) and are relatively easy to keep alive, much the same as a Loph once established as a graft. Good luck

    lophophora pest

Looks like a bit of brown scale and some associated damage. The two spots on the left I'm nearly certain are scale. Try and scrape them off with your fingernail. You can treat the entire plant by making a up a solution of oil, detergent and water. The oil causes the scale to suffocate and they fall off after 2-3 weeks. Please note some people believe oils can damage cacti, this is done at your own risk. I personally treat mine all the time and have no issues, just go easy on the oil.

    Ariocarpus Retusus ?Variegated?

Way too early to tell if that Ario is variegated, it could be as they tent to start out that colour, but so do many other seedlings. In seedlings that colour is usually an indicator of adaptation to light, much like the human skin produces pigmentation, seedlings will go a darker colour to reduce the amount of heat and light adsorbed by the skin and during this time the plant will have time to adapt to the new higher intensity light. This darker colour is not an indication your plant is unhealthy in anyway it is simply going through a natural growing cycle, you may find other seedlings are not changing colour this is probably due to a higherr genetic tolerance to light. Variegated Lophophora ?

Funky colours! This colour was gone after one growing season.

    Variegated Lophophora ?

I think they are all 'variegated' due to skin damage caused from a few different sources or possibly even a virus, However I don't think it is genetic in origin and will eventually grow out. It is not uncommon for grafted Lophs to go all sorts if funky colours, I think I have a pic of one of mine somewhere... I will have a look.

    astro cancer?

I made a lengthy post at Aus Cacti Forum regarding soil mixes that was directed at Ariocarpus which are particularly difficult, however the same general principles apply to any of the Mexican miniatures. http://forum.auscactiforum.net/t486-re-the-genus-ariocarpus

    astro cancer?

Use loose, well draining mix free of almost any organic matter. The bacteria starts through organic matter and spreads. The easiest way to grow astros is this, mimic the environment they live in....... This is where they live, a very dry and harsh environment, they are extremely hardy plants that don't require much attention at all. Keep them dry and they will tell you when they need a drink. Astro and Lopho growing together

Variegated Lopho, could be Jourdaniana I've mixed up the labels Almost no chlorophyll at all on this one..... which is nice to look at but sucks because they are susceptible to everything, sun damage, pests, disease etc. It is growing well for now. EDIT: sorry about the shitty pic taken on my phone and in a rush

Ariocarpus and Astrophytum from the collection.

Not kidding mate. Google search variegated Ariocarpus you will see what I mean, the species is variable in variegation colour, orange/red is one of the more common.
