Yes I do, in relation with what is out there.

You appear to be the only one here with a somewhat sane perspective on this matter. I can believe this many Australians are rushing to be guinea pgs to protect themselves from a disease that is almost absent in the country. Or for buying into all that official propaganda. Just shows what happens when you spook the herd.

I love science, the bigwigs are often too stupid to know how to do it, which is why underground science still exists. I'll be staying tuned and be stoked for any data added.

I appreciate your answer. However alkaloid levels in caapi has been studied and measured on countless occasions. Alkaloid levels in caapi leaf has been measured on numerous occasions These studies weren't pointless, we have learnt something from them. We've learnt about alkaloid range and how vine sections generally compare with leaf. I think an important question in this regard is what percentage of the material is actually inner bark. If it is substantial then the question becomes very important, rather than something that can be disregarded.

Most people only guess at the answer. I'd take your answer as a guess. I've never found a definitive study even addressing the issue. If the alkaloids are distributed in both, then what percentage of total alkaloids in each.

I have a question that is related to harvesting caapi. It is actually a question that has been bothering me for many years. In the caapi vine sections that are generally used for a brew, where are the alkaloids. Is it in the central woody part of the vine, or is it in the inner bark of the cortex. I can't find a definitive answer anywhere.

asking farmers if its ok to go for a stroll on there cow paddocks
Mycot replied to alfamiller's topic in Mycology
Some rules for trespassing. Don't ask ....Steal, unless you know they're cool. While some may object to this, this is what is generally done until approached by that farmer. 1) Don't get caught. This saves a lot of hassle, so its a good idea to stay out of the line of sight of any buildings. Under this rule, asking a farmer for permission may not always be wise. The worst that can happen may not be a simple no. What's worse is that permission may be granted, only for the farmer to next be phoning the cops while you're out picking. On the other hand, if a farmer does unexpectedly chance upon you, be straight up, ask permission and assess from his behavior whether its reasonably safe to go ahead. At least a good number of times (although not always) farmers can be surprisingly cool if some respect is shown. 2) Show respect. Close gates. Don't spook and/or disturb the cattle, a whole herd may end up stampeding across the field causing alarm. Be discreet. Don''t go plowing across fields with a whole bunch of people. Go alone or with one other person. Be secretive and limit visual exposure to passing traffic. 3) Happy hunting. Be wary & take no bull. -
Its practically unimaginable the number of peeps that would on the dole if we got rid of all the "bullshit jobs"'. (As defined in OP) wit no net loss in productivity. And robots will put just about everyone left onto the dole. Ain't that something to look forward to. Technology inevitably creates dole bludgers.

Have you ever met a psychopath (corporate or otherwise)
Mycot replied to Zen Peddler's topic in Chill Space
??? TAZ "Temporary Autonomous Zone" by Hakim Bey. I came across the quote on a website on psychopathy. The bit taken by itself could be taken to descibe a psychopathic relationship. As for a correct interpretation I have no idea. -

Ah to have such kneejerk reactions. People spoil threads like this. To people who are wondering, no I am not a "Christian". However I am not so stupid as to throw out baby with bathwater. -

Ahem. as far as I can see this is a thread about psychpaths and not about gender issues. Any issues seem to be yours. As for commentary I wasn't sure it needed commentary and was obvous in itself. Ie that pschopaths have existed at all times in history and had been written about. Psychopaths of whatever sex are reptilian predators on the rest of humanity and here a young man is being warned against becoming a victim of one of the female variety way back when. Pity todays young men who have no warnings given to them. The thing is, the vast majority of people have no idea at all about these reptilian vampire predators who all leave a trail of destruction in their wake(David Icke does) or even being able to recognise them and so are easy prey.to these entities whos true nature is as Ceres says here ealier closer to that of a demon. A lot of people just think that because psychopaths are so bad they must be easy to recognise. Wrong. They are by and large invisible to most people and to illustrate this I point out the film Basic Instinct where I think Sharone Stone plays the part of a psychopath/sociopath quei well fooling one and all, even the "intellegent". -

It looks like they can take a long time to germinate. They belong to the nutmeg family and so are essentially nutmegs. though more interesting. -

For the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil... ...but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps follow the path to Sheol; she does not ponder the path of life; her ways wander, and she does not know it. And now, O sons, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth. Keep your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house, lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless, lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner (Proverbs 5:4-10) ********************************** -

Something similar happened a number of years ago. The Aust gov allowed a panel to freely express their thoughts and make recomendations where the panel saw fit on GMO's. After this had occured, ALL the recomendetions and what had occured with the panel were quickly buried and ignored. Wish the mainland would see the economic sense in keeping itself GMO-free. We also need to be more activist like the Europeans.

19 synthetic "drugs" to be banned nationally for 120 days
Mycot replied to Thelema's topic in Legal Matters
According to the paper I've seen the ban is for sixty days. The legislation names 19 brand names, and also specifially names a number of synthetic noids and three synthetics and also names a number of chemical classes, all followed by "except when separately specified in other schedules of the Poisons Standard" (I'd like to know what the hell this means, the legislation may well still be unintendedly overly broad) and may also include has some ,vague terms. -

Spending down on harm reduction for illicit drugs: repot

Cute fringe-y gilled thing, but what is it? IMAGE HEAVY
Mycot replied to Darklight's question in Fungus Identification
No kidding. The annulus is unmistakable, no easy ID here. Majority of caps were 3 to 4 inches but there was the odd cap that was eight or more inches across I really thought of it as a prolific weed mushroom and was not keen on them as the same bed had previously been fruiting Psilocybe cubensis which apparently weren't coming back.- 16 replies

As long as ya kept spores or dried specimens all is good. I don't think the KOH test really tells us a lot generally although some of the older liturature mentions it often. Microscopes are still good for looking at cystidia and other structures. After some isolation through chromatography the spectophotometer may be used to identify compounds of interest if the spectophotometer operates at the infra-red or ultra-violet wavelengths because many compounds have had their spectra charted at these wavelengths.

Damn crazy legislation covering brand names which may change and multiply like the weather. Such arbitary legislation. Many vendors may rightfully claim that their products are not equivalent to those of their competitors. -
