Did this graft about 8 months ago during the winter .. what can I say I was new to grafting and was super keen! things went south fast.... but someone told me to cut the rot out like cutting the bad bit out of a potato? here is my story in pictures and the subsequent recovery! enjoy! learn from my mistakes! my first ever graft and my first post to this forum! I hear your a good bunch of lads. the rootstock was unrooted and the peyote/trich were in dormancy... I have since learned my lesson!

only time will tell, there are environmental causes of variegation, fingers crossed, could just be sunburn or cold exposure! it's still early days to know for certain

I've heard the trichos can tolerate some pretty damn cold conditions once fully established, the polystyrene cup on the growing tip is an excellent tip I've heard recommended a few times!

Thanks for your continued support fellas! new group but is growing by the day! just figured it's time I spread my craziness to another a realm it did give birth to a meme after the fiasco from the appreciation society and the exodus to other groups! but that's another story completely. let's keep this positive! and serious! after all googley eyes on cacti... it doesn't get more serious than that huh?- 12 replies
