^ Nice contribution. Thanks Olive -
^Nice. I've had a dramatic shift over winter towards Responsible Cacao: PER CUP - 1/2 tsp of ghee slice of ginger 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 heaped tsp of raw cacao powder " " ground cinnamon pinch of salt pinch of black pepper 1 tsp of honey 1 cup raw milk (cardamom pods optional) Heat ghee on moderate heat. Add all ingredients except milk and gently fry for 30 secs. Add milk. Bring to slow boil. Serve just before boiling point with a splash of cold milk. Don't strain out the ginger because it will be cacao-coated most of the time

Psychedelics not linked to mental health problems or suicidal behavior: A population study
-RC- replied to Evil Genius's topic in News & Notices
A good read on Australian 'culture', part of which is consumption of alcohol, is The Great Australian Stupor by Ronald Conway. Fortunately part of psychedelic use is the sometimes harrowing nature of a trip which contributes massively to their non-addictive nature. Most regular users would attest to the fact that they need to really psyche themselves up to higher doses (5g + of cubensis strength say) as they know there will be some sort of work they will be required to do in order to traverse their journey adequately, whatever that means. That and the very rapid onset of tolerance makes abuse of psychedelics like mushrooms much more difficult than with drugs like alcohol. That being said there is the potential for abuse in everyone of us, be it drug, physical or otherwise. I guess it depends on just how realised that latent potential is in the individual regarding how and what makes it manifest, and in the way it does? -
Psychedelics not linked to mental health problems or suicidal behavior: A population study
-RC- replied to Evil Genius's topic in News & Notices
Well that case is describing the behaviours of 1 man as opposed to much broader population studies. Some people just shouldn't do drugs. Any of them. But then again I agree we need to bring perspective and balance to the subject, particularly where psilocybin mushrooms are concerned. http://www.bbc.co.uk/staticarchive/889cf19c6200b04ef30790e5bec8fcb7740f0789.jpg -

tony abbott asking for weekly list of national security "announcables" between now and the next election
-RC- replied to DiscoStu's topic in Chill Space
^ this. But also I really feel we need to recognise that politics en masse is a farce. The rich get the say, the poor suck it up and say "Bloody government" and then quibble over which of our 2 parties they will vote for next time. The point is it doesn't matter who they vote for. Whoever gets in doesn't answer to the people anyway, and both parties essential work for the same employers, which are not the Australian people. Our political system is broken, so therefore the parties involved are not the problem per se. The whole fucking system is the problem. The current spastic of a prime minister is case in point surely? I like to posit the question, which would've been a big one back when democracy was founded, about our leader/s: Is this the person who you would have represent you to the world? What kind of impression do they give of the Australian people? and Is this someone you would follow into war? -

They are all fuckwits, as well as fucking sell-outs. Our 'democracy' was bought ages ago, yet we continue to act like it isn't all an act... -
Haha, bad luck 19. Oh wait..

Pretty sure the Tashkin study should have a place at the table here, and I certainly support the right of every individual to make responsible choices about their drug use from an informed perspective

This year marks when we enter the end game for cannabis legalisation in Australia. It was a matter of time, then money. Money always wins though these days, and I reckon definitely by the end of the year it will be all over, with full recreational availability in the next 5 years around the nation. First in wins big!
