Cactus from Isla de Margarita.. ID?

I strongly doubt this being Trichocereus. Maybe it could be some Lemaireocereus or Pachycereus, i´m not pretty familiar with these. I lately received a lemaireocereus which looks similar but i also saw such or similar spination on Pachycereus. Maybe someone else can go more in detail about the ID.

I don't know about pachycereus. Looks like stenocereus to me.

In fact, it look a lot like the stenocereus hystrix I had before it crapped out and rotted.

Is Isla de Margarita on the carribean side? Stenocereus would make more sense if that is the case.

I agree, I think that website has the ID wrong and it looks like a typical Stenocereus. Pachycereus pectin is described as having a trunk and you can see that growth habit is not geared up for that.

I had that image on my computer and it was the first thing I saw, nicely labeled as Pachycereus.

Curacao is beautiul! Kind of small though,.. you can drive from one end to the other in an hour ( dealing with traffic, hilly roads with many bends )

I like it here! To me this is home sweet home!
