Hey EG,

Glaucus by colour but no T. Glaucus there. Whole range of different Trichs in those pics.

Wish I had some of your seed. My T. Glaucus are all KK336 and are all fucking green as. Guess they missed the glaucus memo :P

Still have some viable seed if you want some. Sown them in like 10 containers and had about 60% germination rate. Trichocereus seed is viable for at least 5 years. But yeah, am sowing them all and give a few of them away because they aint getting better.

Hey Zed,

Will do tonight.

I bought a cutting off him that was about 1.8mtrs tall and fat as. It's now rooted and over 2 metres tall now and that's the first pup.

It's a beast!

Here you go. Hard to get the whole plant in with detail as it's so big but you get the idea!

I like you landscaping style. "Well, ran out of room in the cacti bed, I guess I'll just toss these in the lawn."

Not sure mate. I bought a giant cut of an old plant, don't know it's origins.

I only have a couple in my lawn and I used waterwells so I could mow around them easily. I've been thinking about ripping out all the lawn and having cactus beds in rows with paths between them...

And on the Tipz Macro; I think I have procured the same plant from the southern suburbs of adelaide. Apparently if was found by a friend of Tipz somewhere around the same area. I asked for some cuts of it a couple years ago when I happened across it in my travels. I'll have to take some pics tomorrow and do some scrutiny compared to yours, Getafix. Might post them here for your opinion if you don't mind?

Thanks Hostilis. It is a new garden as far as the cactus go but I have a vision of how it will be in 5 years time.

Quarterflesh- Just run the mower around them no worries and use clippers to keep the grass clear at the base. Got a heap of trees in the lawn I have to mow around so getting good at it!

Zed - Would love to see your plant. I will certainly share this one around once I get a few pups out of it. It's a worthy specimen. Pretty sure my garden will eventually end up one big cactus field!

Here's the plant I think may be Tipz macro. I had a bit of a convo with him and it seems his mate got it from around the same area.

When I got it it was super glaucous, very blue and frosted. Quite red spines.

And how it looks now. Grown with more direct sun in my garden than it got in the location of the mother plant.

Looks quite similar. The long downward facing central spine. Could well be the same plant.
