I had a dream the other night. I remember the whole dream quite clearly, which is unusual for me. I either only remember small bits, and then only for a short time. I was laying on my back in a desert, watching a bird slowly spiralling down. As it came closer, I sat up and it landed in front of me, in between two cacti. It was a large bird of prey, an eagle I think. An incredibly large monitor lizard walked from behind me, up to the bird. The bird spread its wings and grew very large. It then leaned forward until its head was at ground level between the cacti, and opened its beak. The lizard lumbered into the bird's mouth, the bird closed its beak, folded its wings, shrank back to its original size then stood looking at me, first through one eye then the other. The cacti started to wilt and small wisps of smoke arose from them. As they seemed to melt, a breeze picked up blowing the smoke into my face. It smelled of the ocean. The bird's feathers started to ruffle in the breeze. The breeze suddenly became a sharp gust of wind and the bird crumbled in a puff of dust which blew into my face almost like a slap. As the dust hit me I flinched and woke up. For a moment after I woke, I could distinctly smell an odour like burnt hair.

I don't usually take much notice of mainstream media 'çause I find it hard to know whether it's a load of shit or not. Ironically I think it was a talk by Terrence McKenna which spread the word (in the U.S. first, then here) which then brought it to the attention of The Mind Police, though I never tried to prove the connection. Who or what is God (or a god)? The question of God is a common one, for at least as long a time as history has been recorded, and probably then some. If anyone has ever had the truth of it, how would we know?. Maybe there's a clue in this. Maybe there's a reason the answer eludes us. It is possible Blake was considering this when he wrote, “If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.” - The Marriage of Heaven and Hell Perhaps we cannot answer this because we need to tend to some housework and answer some more important questions before we can look at this one. Perhaps it's a bit like expecting to be able to know what it feels like to run before we have learned what it feels like like to walk. (Maybe we should ask some advice of The Shroom....) Has anyone heard of Dr Carl Hart? He has quite a portfolio of talks on the net (some links below). 25+ years of neuropharma research, he's one of NIDA's (and the world's) top researchers into the effects of drugs on the human brain. In a nutshell his message... "Everything you thought you knew about drugs and their effects on the human brain is wrong." He's kinda like an African American version of Professor David Nutt... His message will be a very powerful tool because the data from his research and his review of ALL previous research relating to drug effects tell a very different story to the bullshit we are continually fed. He's also taking a very different approach in an effort to help end the war on drugs (users); he's aimed his role as educator at the public, not the government. Thanks for the link man. I love the notion of them reaching out. It is way cool if they're sentient and can sense us. I reckon they came in with the neighbor's horses grazing for a few weeks about 18 months ago. I'll post 'em there. Muchas gracias .

So I mowed the yard about 2 weeks ago when grass was up to a meter in places. Then mowed again Monday Tuesday. Lots of straw like dead grass from the first mow leaving a layer of mulch. I wake up this morning to be greeted with new friends in the yard. I've been here 6 years and have only seen 1 or 2 mushies here. Nothing like this. I didn't know how many pics I could attach, there's more. And I'm sorry for the quality. They look much better on my PC... I've no idea what personality they are. Just keen to start learning as much as I can. Is this the right place to ask? Peace and Love, G.

Hi Ya everyone. I joined here in 2014, then my world became somewhat more troublesome. I'm still "in the woods" so to speak but have been trawling this gift of a site again. I followed this thread for a bit back when RC started and am thankful I've returned, especially reading the last couple of exchanges here. I am very keen to learn with sacramental plants, in particular Cubes. Like many on this forum, I have my issues and given the results of studies done in the UK and US, this path really appeals to me. My condition has recently become treatment (toxin) resistant. I've decided to post in this thread because the characters and personalities, knowledge and love, and humour you express through your writing connected with me. I also love Hokkien noodle vegie stir fry... I would love to ask questions, but in a respectful way just ask bluntly, because it requires less thought. I'm reticent to have that kind of dialogue in the thread because I'm not sure how much bluntness be deemed appropriate. Would I be able to PM anyone to ask the questions?
