Proposed Perth Opera House, or 'whale carcass'.

Have you put down snail bait? Big meanie!

You guys are talking about grafting, which is kind of like talking about me going to the moon: not yet, but maybe in 20 years. As you can see by my discarded macadamia experiment, I'm not an intensive gardener. Grafting is probably beyond my modest skill set.

Poking around in the backyard, and what should I find but a second Macadamia! I must have come home with 3 nuts, and 2 grew. Obviously I don't explore enough in what is a very small area. But then I love gardening because they're always surprises. So here's the twins, the plant at the back is the newest discovery. I definitely did a double take, like 'How'd you get over here, WHAAAAAAT?' Jaboticaba to the top left.

Edible/gourmet mushroom cultures for sale

Are the albinos the rare/endangered strain? -
Articles I've read tonight about this incident have me ranting on twitter. Like, There are three things fundamentally wrong with how health authorities deal with this: 1. Suggesting that people only buy from supermarkets denies the fact that some edible mushrooms only grow in symbiotic relationships, and that these fungi are usually not cultivated and thus are only picked from the wild. These fungi are SOUGHT AFTER. 2. The recommendation that people only buy from supermarkets ignores that its possible the supply from the supermarket contained deadly fungi. Like, suggesting people go to them after this is idiotic (if its the case). 3. Communities would benefit FAR MORE and more lives would be saved if there was education about the difference between the two fungi (Volvariella volvacea and Amanita phalloides) and their preferred habitats, than this suggestion of abstention. Fuck people in authority make me wild, those fucking pea-brained idiots!

If you're not shooting animals, then yes. Do I write book One, do I write book Two, or do I write book One and Two together? IMPORTANT: everything depends upon this.

Is it done yet? How about now? You guys have hit upon a favourite topic of mine, and if anyone can get prints from bioluminescent fungi, I will always be very interested. Should have got prints from the presumed Omph that is in my profile pic, but forgot to back later!

Shortly, I will calendar you in for early spring. Which one is the forked sundew, Halycon? You can probably spot which at the following link... http://www.vcps.org/vicdrosera.html Just realised I probably has the aberrans, and mixed them up with the spatulata. /facepalm
-
I very much do. I promise any newborns will be kept away from clumsy firefighters! How should we go about remembering to trade/sell in several months? Memory... erm, not my forte.

Hey all, Two years ago I came across some beautiful Drosera spatulata, and brought them home to live with me and be my friends. They survived the move from the wild to captivity rather well, but a blundering and rather large-booted firefighter put an end to it all when he stepped on their home and its glass shattered everywhere. I tried to salvage the situation but to no avail. Does anyone in Melbourne/Victoria grow native sundews, and do you have seed or plants which I could buy from you or trade w you for? I miss my spatulatas!

Wow, the camera on your iphone is shoddy. I would get that checked out! In all seriousness, wouldnt a clean, straight across cut on the scion mean it's more likely to take, combat rot and survive?
-
Tell me everything you know! I promise I won't eat them all. I prefer to pick from the ground, actually. Those shells are so tough that they can also keep out moisture!
-
Help, what do I do? Who do I troll? Where do I go for my fungi porn??? SOMEBODY SHOW ME A MUSHROOM!
-
Shit, I've heard about this guy. I would let him do things to me if he would teach me everything he knows...

Thanks guys, I might just shelter it under the eaves or the BBQ just to be sure that it survives its first winter. You never really know with Melbourne if you're gonna be snap frozen or just get middling-miserable cold! Let's hope this maca grows up big and strong. I appreciate your help.
