Entheogenesis Australis 06 - Spirit - Mind - Science - Sound

Recommended Posts

Winchelsea station is not far away at all, so we can send a car or two to do a pick up, but you guys will have to work together to find a time that is good for all of you.

And get back to us.

Is Ega at the place in the red circle?

No, if you go to about 7oclock on that circle and head 20mm due west just over the ridge, you come to a track that has visible 3 properties. The southern one is a Ukranian scout camp, so Utopia must be one of the northern two.

I am curious what that thing in the red circle is though. Looks like a 4WD park :o

Hey guys I have a question, just out of interest, how many working days is it taking to receive your tickets after you pay for them?

Has the paypal option been working out for you people?

:excl:

I just got my ticket...within about 40 hours of ordering it:excl:

A couple of questions. On the ticket it says "fri 2nd-mon 5th June 2006 3:00pm". Does this mean all day friday to 3pm monday? How much are meals likely to cost? Not having a car, I can't bring loads of tins etc (I'll probably fill up most of my backpack with warm clothing/bedding), and I'm pretty poor at the moment. Seeing as the meals are provided by lentil as anything, I thought maybe there would be a possibility of cheaper meals if I help out with preparation or cleaning up. In fact, being a baker, I could whip up a pizza or something pretty easily given ingredients, although it's probably a bit late in the piece for a suggestion like that.

The ticket people kind of fucked it up, Gates open 3pm Friday, and we can head off anytime Monday.

I can not really say much about lentil, they are usually cheap, and very good. People are also free to bring there own camping equipment and cook for themselves.

For others like myself that have to make their way from Winchelsea station to EGA and are not sure how you are going to do it, PM me as we are organising lifts from the station to EGA. those interested please PM me before mid-day thursday so i can let the very generous donater of lifts ( :worship: ) know numbers of people and line up time people can meet there as a group to get the rides out. numbers of people and times you get to station are needed to determine what we need so its ready :D

this is gonna be fucking awesome! :D

I'll be arriving Saturday the 3rd in Avalon at 1:45pm.

So I was wondering if anyone else would also be arriving around this time?

I found this map and outlined in red the track described in the Opoeia site.

Is this the best route to Opoeia?

Is this the best route to Opoeia?

Yes, that is the best way;

http://www.entheo.net/directions.htm

DIRECTIONS to EGA 2006 AT OPOEIA - INLAND ROUTE

Melways Ref: 611 C10

The quickest and easiest route to Opoeia from Melbourne and Geelong is inland via Moriac.

From Melbourne - inland (1 1/2 hrs)

Take the fwy to Geelong

Drive through Geelong following the Princes Hwy in the direction of Colac.

5km out of Geelong (Waurn Ponds) turn left at Cape Otway Rd towards Moriac.

Follow this road for 18kms through Moriac and Modewarre.

After this 18kms, turn left at Wensleydale Station Rd in the direction of "Seamist", Wurdiboluc Reservoir will be on your right.

When the road turns to gravel, Seamist will be on your left.

After 300m of gravel there is an intersection. At this point, follow the road directly straight into the Angahook State Park (do not turn left here into Gum flats road)

Continue following gravel road, pass Alsop Track

Turn left at the Fork, this is Breakfast Creek Rd (DO NOT turn right here at Hammonds Track).

Follow for another 3.5km into the valley.

Just over the small bridge, Opoeia's gate is on the left.

WARNING!

All attendees to EGA 2006 should take the INLAND rounte to Opoeia.

DO NOT take the Great Ocean Road route. The conditions are very poor and this track is suitable for 4WD only. The organisers take no responsibility for any mishaps should you take the Great Ocean Road route.

Here is a word from Carl Turney the co-founder of what is Known as Entheogenesis Australis (EGA).

Hi To Everyone,

As a co-founder of the original EthnoBotanica Victoria conferences, starting about 5 years ago, I’d just like to say how pleased I am with Entheogenesis Australis.

The new organizers are putting in so much more effort, to get really great events together: There are more speakers, active workshops, and fantastic social events now. The turnout is great, with attendances well over 100.

I can speak for Tim and myself in saying: We are looking forward to

Entheogenesis as attendees, and to being speakers and workshop leaders at it.

Best wishes, and thanks so much, for carrying on the good cause.

Carl Turney
