Trip from hell

Recommended Posts

Well I've been sitting on this one for about 3 days now because it's not every day you're sitting back casually watching telly and GOD walks in the room and asks you whether you want to stay or go.I needed time to recover:

At the present time my allergies/intollerances have been cast aside and undiagnosed by the plethora of DUNGHEAD DOCTORS in this godforsaken town as being "all in my head"...typical in mine and others exp. but thursday night was farkin' frightening  .

I'll skip the "Poor-me" and the rave about doctors and get to the facts:

Thursday was like any other day except I had accidentally ingested gluten(to which I KNOW I have serious reactions to) the day before.

So I woke up with bowel pains, the runs, some blood and had massive bone pains particularly in the hips, knees and down my shins so I waddled off down the street for some pain relief (slowly).

Picked me up some Herbal pain tablets containing Corydalis and Salix alba.

While I was looking I found a tube of "Deep-Heat-Arthritis" and thought..."well this will help as well cool!"

(this also contains salicylates)

So I took a couple of these herbal tablets and after about an hour could feel some relaxation and mild pain relief but not enough to ease the bone-pains so I proceeded to rub the liniment into my knees and some on my back and the back of my neck while sitting in front of the heater.

T+1 min slight flushing and tinitus

T+2mins pain and swelling on the inside of elbows

T+2.1 mins the world is spinning and heart racing

T+2.2 mins throat closing

T+2.3 mins panic stricken and trying to raise my body from the beanbag

T+2.4 mins out the front door to escape the fumes knowing what would happen if I didn't... calling to neighbours for help as phone was in the same room as the fumes and living alone I would be dead before someone found me.

T+ 3 mins No help from neighbours and thought "this is it...I'm gunna die from fuckin' deep-heat!"

T+3.2 mins Starting to stabilse in the fresh air knowing it was mainly fumes but I had to wash the shit off asap before it got worse(like it could!!).

T+4 mins fumbled to phone and rang g/f and said "If I don't call back in 5 mins ring the ambo" and staggered into the shower trying to push a Caltrate tab down my throat as I went(weak antidote)

After showering my breathing started to come good and I called her as I scarfed down bicarb and water(same type of antidote but quicker).

Within 10 mins I was close to baseline except for massive anxiety wheezing and itching/flushing which has persisted until I got some anti-histamines yesterday. The wheezing persisted until the next day about 24 hrs later.

So I went to Mr. Dunghead and he FINALLY has ordered some blood tests...why are these wankers so precious about referring peeps????

This dickhead didn't even know what salicylates are????...I felt like saying"you know you're most commonly prescribed tablet IS A SALICYLATE it comes from the WILLOW TREE DICKHEAD...but I refrained (they don't like that ;) )

I nearly friggin' died YES.....BUT I got a trip that I will never forget and it came from my fear of putting my life in the hands of chemical dispensing robots with NO KNOWLEDGE.

No wonder!

The tests will show multiple chemical sensitivities as I have been exposed to many chemicals in the past..I'm certain.

I have been careful with these things and have been getting better after removing/limiting gluten/salicylates and amines in my diet from my own observations and research which is bloody hard if you look at your daily foods and what's actually in them.

LESSON:

Don't ever take what you can do for granted... for when it's taken away there are only two options.

When faced with your own mortality things change dramatically.

Happy to be back and improved B)

You sound like a clone of me.

My problems start after exposure to smoke from forest fires

that get trapped in the valley I am in..

Probably just my trigger from prior environmental stresses.

I haven't found much relief except in taking a many spectrum amount of vitamins.

Vitamin E is good.

I did find a easy cure for glaucoma [buildup of fluid pressure in the eye that matches blood flow pressure, sort of a plumbing problem.] which is glucosamine the stuff used for arthritis..

Glucosamine didn't help much but I am much better now.

Good to hear you are ok mate. I have heard people describe near death experiences (usually on Ketamine) and rave about how exciting they are. I gather from your post that perhaps they dont know what they are talking about.. :)

in the hands of chemical dispensing robots with NO KNOWLEDGE.

Thats one of the most accurate descriptions I have heard in some time. Cheers -

It all depends Cyjack, because death is always, first met with panic and non-acceptance.

It is the acceptance of your own 'death', that makes an NDE so profound and generally quite peaceful.

I'm sure if Mesc hadn't actually recovered, but had continued to 'die' (heaven forbid :crux: ), that he would have entered a quite peaceful state. Once you realise you are on your way out, and there's nothing you can do, why bother fighting?

I have almost died from a few allergic reactions, and once from choking, and I only achieved the panic those times. I freaked out, thought I was dying, but I recovered.

Whereas an NDE I experienced while on Ketamine (administered for surgery), started out this way. But once I realised I could not fight it any longer, that I was actually dead, it became very peaceful.

Obviously I wasn't dead, but you could've fooled me! :D And once I stopped panicking about it, it was wonderful!

Ketamine - eww... I dont like being blind...

Anywayz - I know the shit your going through - I didnt know what was wrong with me for two years and my body had already started to heal itself before one day i was lucky enough to walk into a Professor's office who knew instantly what was wrong - why and how to fix it... And now Im 100% well and back to fighting fit - other than my fucked back from being stupid and straining it the otehr day...

My problem was very different to yours (low BP, dizziness and other weird shit), but my advice would be to stop wasting your time with regular doctors and try and find an accepting specialist who knows his shit.

Your condition sounds pretty much like you would expect from MCS - Multiple Chemical Sensititives - and im sure you know this, but there is an allergist doctor in Melbourne who understands the symptoms, is used to treating it and can really help you.

I only know because when they had no fucking idea what was wrong with me, he was suggested - ofcourse I didnt have these problems - but they dont know what else to do for you when your case is weird and requires some research,...

Yeah I remember the shit you were going thru BM...I reckon your spot on the dollar here and I came to the same conclusion considering the similarities in our cases.

I spoke to my Psychiatrist who has MD quals but doesn't practice as one just a bloody good psych and soulmate and he said "well considering the HELL you went through with the A/D's it would make sense".Considering my previous 15 yrs regular chemical exposures from work-10 different CFC's including now banned carcinogens like R-11 which I used to stick my fingers in to make it boil for the fun of it and R-500.

Phosgenes from pyrolisis of CFC's,mixing polyeurathanes, solvents, adhesives, silver oxide, lead, copper, lead, fiberglass and rockwooldusts.....OH&S yeah right!

I'm going to contact RPA and get some tests done very soon as they have some great specialists in many fields and I hear they like a challenge hehehe. ;)

If I do no-good I'll get the name of the specialist from you.

Thanks for your reply mate!
