i think this may have been raised before but why do we have no chemisty section here for chemistry related questions? im sure there are other chemistry students out there who will use it.

Very tempting. very tempting indeed. It would require a fair, knowledgable and gutsy moderator though. Any suggestions? Without a mod I am not even considering it.

yes, he would be, but he simply isn't here enough - sorry.

in general mods should log in about 7 times per week. Chances are this will decrease over time anyway, so we need to start off at the peak.

It's not just the frequency of log ins, but also the familiarity of members here. It really helps to know the people who are going to post even before they have posted much.

well, ill raise my hand. it would be an honour and a privilage, though i would understand if not me. i will log in enough and am familiar with a a few other chem minded people here. ive answered chem questions to the best of my ability here before.

also id like to say i will never log in while intoxicated.

Finnished chem and bio at uni too so i have a decent understanding thereof.

but i also understand there would probably be more sutable cadidates here, but ill say i have the time and know my chem.

amulte - 400 (quality) posts in 6 months, as well as your qualifications and log in presence are good enough for me.

Dotboy - you would have been a top choice in many respects except log in frequency. I am very uneasy about the chem forum, so I really want someone checking on it every day.
