Look! Catuseresereseres!

Recommended Posts

O.K just had a visit to my friend Mary J. felt a bit bored, and quite too tired to do anything else for the starting night of my weekend.

Walking around the house, decided to take photos of my "unknown spiny things", I've had 'em since I was a pup myself, and they've just about burst this pot open, so as soon as they finish flowering, they all get their own individual pots, with plenty of growing room!

It was originally just the biggest one (duh), and that white one is the same kind but hasn't grown as much as the others.

Here are the photos I took for posterities sake:

I'd say it's a Mammillaria going by that last photo.

I've got a single one that looks the same that is flowering at the mo' as well.

Where do the seeds grow? Does it form a separate pod post flowering?

Oh. I don't think I've seen it fruit.

Maybe it will this year!

I have a similar plant. I think this is M. craigii.

Hopefully MS can expound on this.

Just confirmed with mother, the above cacti have never fruited.

I've recieved my order from SAB today (thanks T, I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this lot :D ) and put out the pots for repotting the above too.

Looks like there wont be enough pots for all of the pups, so maybe if someone in Sydney would like one, we could probably find the remainder a good home.
