Thelema Posted March 19, 2005 Does anyone know the metabolic pathway of DMT in the human brain? Obviously some I assume is metabolised to 5meo-DMT, but I think i remember reading somewhere that the main metabolite is 6meo-DMT. In particular I am trying to find out how the meatbolic byproducts of psilocin differ from the metabolic byproducts of DMT. I have a feeling that it is not merely a matter of increased latency of metabolism into 6meoDMT; that the byproducts from psilocin are somewhat different. Auxin Posted March 19, 2005 Everywhere I look they talk about simple metabolism to IAA. Administration of DMT to rats/people/etc causing a drastic increase in IAA concentration in blood and urine.
