Preventing cross-pollination on Trichocereus sp.

Hi guys,

I have a lot of trichos about to flower this year and I want to make some specific crosses... What are some good methods for preventing cross-pollination that you have used before? I've heard stockings might be good?

Oh and if anyone has some interesting pollen to trade let me know!

I reveal a lot in my videos, unfortunately you have to watch them all several times to glean all of the pertinent tips.  The very best tips are in a video shot during a night time pollination session which may be upped to utube in the near future....

I like the bags that are intended to be used to protect fruit from birds. You can buy them from hardware stores in a couple of sizes and they fit over very easily and give plenty of room for the flower to open. I also like that they're big enough to put back over the opened flower after you've finished pollinating. They're about $4-$5 for a pack of 3. I think you can get them a lot cheaper online.
