Scop spots 😣

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. This scop has some skin problems it seems. Seems to spread quite slow. What would be the best thing to do here?

Hands down, the very best thing to do is package it up & send it to me

It's water related I think, one of my scope does the same after rain sometimes. I think the soil mix is less airy than it should be. When I repot I'm adding pumice, currently he has sand and perlite with potting mix.

Hehe that would be an expensive parcel delivery . It's only recently grown roots so could be a water thing I guess. My biggest concern is the possibly of this spreading to other plants. If it's not likely spread I'll just let it be.

Just looks like black spot to me. Does it raise under the skin like a pustule and then turn black or scab? Two scops that i am looking after for a mate have a bit of it. He waters the hell out of them.

Hes two are from my scops and mine dont have any black spot.

Sort out your soil and keep it on the dry side and you shouldnt get anymore.

Cheers mate. Will have to up the scoria. I had considered black spot. I had it on my tbm once but it was larger spots that where raised a lot more. But yeah I guess it probly is black spot. I wasn't sure, maybe it could've been some type of mite or something.

I wish I understood black spot better. Why would wet roots make those spots in that particular spot lol?
