0 El Presidente Hillbillios Posted February 17, 2016 i have some very similar to the first one, i think it might be some pach/peru that hamiltons offload rooted cuttings of every now and then
0 Strontium Dawg Posted February 17, 2016 Here goes my guesses: 1. Bridgesii, I have one similar that puts out ling single spines like that. 2. Peruvianus, maybe one of the roseii twins? 3. I'm going cuzco based on the spines on that older growth, if it's the same cut. 4. Pachanoi x bridgesii maybe? 5. Peruvianus of some sort 6. Macrogonus? 7. Peru x bridge?
0 Evil Genius Posted February 17, 2016 Hey mate, The first one is a Trichocereus bridgesii. There are types like this though they are atypical. 2 and 3 are Tr. peruvianus. Are they both from the same lot? 3 could have some cuzco genetics in it, bit only slightly. 4 is a Trichocereus bridgesii type too. Maybe hybrid but definitely bridgesii somewhere. 5 and 6 are some kind of Peruvianus and the 7 has some bridgesii genetics in it too.
0 theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted February 17, 2016 Thanks for that guys. Looks like I wasn't far off in my own guesses. Funny thing is I received no.4 as pachXscop? No.1 is gonna be awesome when it grows. I wasn't sure if this plant was a named clone it's quite unique No.2+3 were acquired from the same person so could be a same seed batch, I'm not sure. They are also unique plants, glad to hear they should be Peru. Thanks again guys I really appreciate it (glad to not hear the word cuzco much I already have enough of those beauties!)
0 sagiXsagi Posted February 21, 2016 Doing my guesses without having looked at what others have said.. 1. I would say bridgesii . doesnt look unlike eileen spination pattern or what has sometimes been described as Eileen. But could also be a bridgesi that was put in a shadier place 2,3. I am seeing , I think, macrogonus peruvians as opposed to peruvian peruvians 4. hard one. looks a bit like a pachanoi hybrid X ? I got. Looks pachanoid but could also be ... pachanoi X bridgesii? just guessing... 5 ,6,7 well excluding the final photo that I believe shows a different cactus, a bridgesii, I see them as peruvianus peruvianus, forms like icaro and los gentiles , except perhaps 6 that looks a bit intermediate macro-peruv.

0 Strontium Dawg Posted February 21, 2016 I can see scop traits in no 4 now that you say that. Something about the roundness of the ribs...
0 sagiXsagi Posted February 21, 2016 strange, I could swear its a peruv in 7.1 and a bridgesii in 7.2 !
