Evil Genius Posted March 27, 2014 Yeah, no. Sorry to crush your hopes but I don´t think so. Pretty sure it´s a Stenocereus. Maybe Griseus. Guys, this applies to almost everything people are trying to sell you....never ever buy the story. I hope you didn't pay too much. But please Don't get me wrong; I love it! It´s a stunning Cactus.

Hellonasty Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) On first look I immediately thought Stenocereus. Just to add to what the others have said, always be skeptical of Intra-generic hybrids, they are so so rare and even some of the 'more' accepted Intra-generic hybrids I'm still not convinced are 100% legit. Just have a look at the variation in Astrophytum and all of this has this has been created by extensive hybridisation ( F2 hybrids, back crossing etc). Moral of the story is make the hybrids yourself or buy them from a legit grower. Edited March 27, 2014 by Hellonasty
