Can I get an ID up in here?

Question

I am having a hell of a time deciding what to call these cuttings. Im thinking iether:

Peruvianus

Bridgesii

or

Peru X Bridg

ANY IDEA?

Also, are we allowed to offer cuttings to people on here? Or is that frowned upon, selling stuff.

Definitely a bit of T. bridgesii in there. I'd say crossed with either T. pachanoi (non-PC) or T. peruvianus. Reminds me of the Lumberjack.

exactly the person i wanted to hear from. Thanks man. I just bought me a cutting of lumberjack... ill have to compare them when it comes. If its lumberjack.. then ive found the mother load at my favorite cactus farm. Although i would say this cutting in the attached pic prolly looks even closer to lumberjack, what do ya'll think?

Looks like a PC with long spines. Very nice.

Most people would just resort to calling it a 'bridgesioid'.

Guessing parentage will never be more than a guess unfortunately, so I'd be hesitant to ever label it anything other than 'bridgesioid' or 'bridge hybrid' etc.

Thanks man that helps. Ill just label it a bridgesii hybrid. I can totally see the Pachanoi-esque look you are referring to now.

Naw, that looks more toward the T. cuzcoensis side of things.

Yeah, looks like T. cuzcoensis too, but I wouldn't put it past being a possible cross with some other species, whether T. pachanoi, T. peruvianus, or T. bridgesii. There is something just a bit off about it, but since it's primary resemblance is to T. cuzcoensis I'd keep it there. There has been so many hybrids made in the last decade or so that pretty soon asking for a species ID isn't going to mean much.
