Picked up these two little fellows at bunnings - first one labelled as "peruvian torch" - supplier is hamiltons. It doesnt look particularly like a peruvianus to me, and I mistrust their labelling a bit as I bought another one labelled the same which I am pretty sure is a terscheckii...
Any guesses? I know it's hard to say based on a juvenile form... Pach? Scop? Peruvianus? Something else?
From the top.
Second one looks much more like a peruvianus to me, unlabelled, supplier is collectors corner (paradisia). Smurf blue colour and golden spines. Beautiful cactus whatever it is anyway. If anyone else thinks it is very likely a peruvianus, I might pick up another one. There was a bigger one, but it had a few wounds and I suspect had beginnings of rot...
